The question for the next election shouldn’t be, “which candidate would you have a beer with”, but more like “to which candidate would you lend your car ?” …

The Gores, a famously close-knit family, could laugh at the coverage some. They joked around at the nonstop talk about which president you’d want to have a beer with. The Gore’s middle daughter, Kristin, pointed out, “Gee, I want the designated driver as my president.”

And yet there is a poster at DKos who maitains that 4-8 years of Newt is preferable to Hillary because that would give decades to the DLC. Yes, it is said right over there. Hillary is flawed and by no means my first choice, but this kind of bizarre logic fails me.
