Hey man, uh, occasionally you aren’t the best on tact and empathy either. ;) Now listen up, Kirk, before you go after me on this one. You and I have known each other via FDL, for quite some time. Like back in the days when you would call someone a troll, who wasn’t a troll.

If someone drops in, and then has a gbcw moment, why not let it go?

I didn’t just wander in. I have been reading daily for months. My comment was curt and sarcastic. I apologize. I am so frustrated because this site and many other liberal blogs seem unwilling to have an extensive discussion about racism. I also read TPM, HuffPo, dailykos and crooks and liars. I am a long-time Democratic voter who will no longer vote for any candidate who doesn’t address this issue as something other than political oppurtunism.
Don’t worry folks I won’t be dropping in again. Don’t be surprised if many black voters avoid this and other liberal blogs in the future.

And given that he or she pretty much sums up my attitude, the question is: Is this the guy we want to run against? I think the answer is yes, but it may just be because I underestimate the ability of Dems to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. If you haven’t seen it already, you should read the article that appeared in The Nation (?) about Giuliani. The title was “A fate worse than Bush.”

hehe… I like it: assuming anybody wants it, or that the mark still has value. Heck, if it’s non-exclusive, why don’t we franchise it to everybody?.. India, Brazil, whomever, and use the licensing fees to finance more endless war…. never mind. why are we giving these bozos ideas, anyway?

Immigration hearing for U.S. peace activist postponed

An American peace activist will be in limbo in Vancouver for at least another 10 days after her immigration hearing was postponed on Tuesday.

Alison Bodine, 22, was arrested by Canadian border officials on Thursday, when she stopped at the Canada Border Services facility at the Peace Arch border crossing.

She intended to pick up some anti-war literature that was confiscated as she entered Canada. Instead, the U.S. resident learned she was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.
