IIRC, after the general election, someone else came in and Joined the CT for Lieberman” party, created party “rules” and by-laws since Joe hadn’t and set it up that Joe was ineligible for his supposed party.

Mr. K8 had come in from a doc’s appt, and I had to go see what’s what for a kitchen table discussion, which is why I couldn’t thank you all individually for your responses as they came in.

Speaking of kitchen tables, we just got ours. It’s only “new” in the sense that we didn’t have one before, we just used a counter with high bar-stools before. The sucker is really old, one of those chrome and fake-marbley-looking yellow formica tops, in great condition with matching chairs. The real deal, from a dearly departed family member. And it only cost $300 (yikes!) to ship it to AZ from the Northeast.

Sorry to ramble on about it, but we’re thrilled at how this simple old-fashioned kitchen table has already facilitated more intimate and better conversations. Life around the hearth…an ancient truth about human intimacy is the need for kitchen closeness, whatever the kitchen is like, the simpler the better. We love it!

Demo medics I have known (and trusted) for years who went to NOLA as Katrina struck reported Blackwater mercenaries murdering American civilians in New Orleans.

I believe the medics. The behavior they report (firing without warning on unarmed civilians) is the same behavior Blackwater’t mercs show in Iraq.

Which Dem candidate for Prez will be the first to demand criminalizing private militias on US soil?

It’s simple, the corporatists do NOT want a Republican President with a Democratic Congress…they want a corporatist Democrat with a marginal Democratic Congress and the rest is already written someplace.
