Just who are these sources? I love how unnamed sources claim certain things were said and the media runs with it as if it’s fact.

Shouldn’t this be fact checked as rigorously as the General’s statistics?

Soldiers who had lost limbs in Iraq segued into pictures of the burning World Trade Center as words appeared on the screen: “They attacked us.” A soldier said, “We’re winning on the ground in Iraq. It’s no time to quit.” A bereaved woman whose uncle died as a fireman in the twin towers and whose husband was killed in Iraq spoke as words flashed on the screen: “More attacks.” “Surrender is not an option.” In another ad, a Marine in a wheelchair said, “To hear Congress talk about surrendering really makes me angry.” After these poisons were injected into the atmosphere, Petraeus emerged from behind the curtain as the sober voice of reason.

They are missing the Is*ael connection in this disgusting ad. I bet a key part of it is AIP*C linked. I read here back when that 5 of the 6 main funders are linked to AIP*C.

Well besides frontman Ari Fleisher, the big money is that of Sheldon Adelson, owner of the ex-Jewish mob run Sands Cas*no, and reputedly the “world’s richest Jew”.

He and his Israeli wife are close friends and financial supporters of L*kud’s Bibi Netanyahu, and have bought a free daily newspaper that is even sent by mail to Israelis. The content is definitely pro-L*KUD..and certainly is not based on a sound “economic model”. It’s propoganda designed to resurrect Bibi’s political career.

Adelson was over in Israel this Summer during the L*KUD party elections and even “hosted” a bunch of US Senators and Congressmen on the trip.

There has been a series of worse than expected news lately, and there seems to be a lot of market resonse.

So, I would be careful about the ‘already factored in’ argument.

If things are out of historical norms, sometimes you can watch the factoring in real time, which may what be going on now.

And, as I said you cannot see the party’s entire net position.

You might be rght that some small group of actors is pissing their pants at potential losses and feels like they have to do some mighty hedging right now.

Or -iran is due.

Could this have to do with quarterly reports due out in a few days showing big losses from the subprime fiasco?

that’s already been factored in. the only thing that will produce this sort of a meltdown in the equities markets is

a) a war with iran that doesn’t go well (straits of hormuz blocked, tankers sunk, etc)

b) a NUCLEAR war with iran that doesn’t go well (oil supplies contaminated and all of (a)

c) a false flag nuclear detonation inside the us.

BUT…

to the big hedge funds and investment banks, 700 mil is an acceptable loss against amounts in the tens of Trillions. The problems we have already HAD with the NINJA loan business have wiped out over A TRILLION (yes with a T) dollars in equity values around the world. If we were to trace this worldwide I suspect we’d find the whole thing is funded by a small hedge fund acting as shell broker and set to either lose the money if nothing happens, or pay out huge profits to the founders (about 2 trillion world wide) if things go to hell.

In the modern markets, IF you know what you’re doing and have enough liquid cash, you almost CAN’T lose money. This simply may be more of that.

I have had to stealth out so many things from the kiddos toy boxes it’s ridiculous. What moron thought that outsourcing toy production and not checking to make sure the factory was not using lead paint was such a great idea?!?!?!
