With Bush in office, it was an easily accomplishable task, as the board is appointed by the president for six year terms.</p> <p>After changing the makeup of the board, edicts began from on high (Likely on directions from Rover’s Office of Nasty Nasty) to provide “balance”. This directly translates to more Republican propaganda on NPR/PBS.</p> <p>And thus, they are getting us to do their dirty work for them. When we stop sending checks, they stop producing new shows, and focus on “balancing up” the old ones.
