Where are the intellectual elites of this country?

I’m not an intellectual. Just a pissed off citizen.

They are there but their voices are often drowned out by the bigots who call them elite MA liberals, dirty hippies, and traitors.

It’s clear that the ONLY thing the repubs have going for them is illegal immigration.

Please! This is not a new problem. We have been coping with it for generations. It will not go away. Ever.

Personally, I’m not worried about it, but then I’m not afraid of those brown people invading my country.

Walls are NOT for democratic countries. It disgusts me to no end that my country is building one.

Now, see, here’s where I see a problem. In my first year of college, one of my courses required us to buy and read “The Population Bomb.” That was in the seventies. In the nineties, in a course on critical thinking, they talked at length about how we are exceeding “the carrying capacity of the earth.” Yet now, we have politicians and clergymen openly advising white folk to go forth and multiply, prolifically, I might add, lest they become a minority. Then there’s global warming, which seems to be diminishing the land area we, as a species, can occupy, much less farm, etc. For an intelligent biological form, we sure don’t seem to learn very much, IMHO.

Finished listening-great interview, Christy. You know what? I wish I had a Rep or a Sen that takes your stands.
You should run for office. You are exactly the kind of public servant we desperately need in these dangerous times.
I will work for you in whatever capacity you would like.
And I suspect I’m not alone.

I truly believe most people just want one more (relatively) peaceful day, and will tolerate almost anyone or anything that seems to promise that. Especially those trying to prep their kids to survive in a world gone mad on money, ignorance, and terror.

I was 25. Single. No responsibilities.

I could just say fuck it and go off to experience first-hand the big deal of the day.

I was looking for the experience. I didn’t support the war.
