Ladies and gentlemen, meet April and Joy, the newest additions to the household of our own Pachacutec. I just have to ask.
Separated at birth?
April and Joy (left) and…
…Malaysian fruit bats?
You be the judge.

TRex!!!
zed
tres
Pups!
awwww, those chihuahuas are teh cute!! My best friend has one, and he’s a doll.
Cinco!
Fruit bats are very cute.
Hi LL!
Evening, guys.
How is everyone?
Er… seis.
maybe 7?
oh, TRex! Chiuahuas don’t look like bats!
Them’s cute little dogs!
Beast blogging! My favorite! TRex, which makes a tastier snack for large saurians?
Hiya TRex!!!!!
That’s my new babies.
I love bats.
ooooooooooh puppies – cute but Token is still the cutest dog in the world, 8 to 9 lb category (he’s on a diet)
yellowdog jim @ 11
hahahahahahahaha!
OMG dogs and bats living together, you know that has to intelligent design.
TRex @ 9
Just peachy!
Pachacutec @ 14
They are super cute!
Pach cut off their wings?!
Do the pups hang upside down?
Hiya TRex… I sent you a kitty video on last night’s thread after you went to bed. Hope you got it.
Evening all! Just too teensy to be considered actual dogs IMHO. Anything that can be carried comfortably in a regular handbag isn’t a real dog :0)
Evening all. I see you have served up our late night snack already, TRex. That is what they were originally bred for, after all. You might call them the original “hot dog.”
yellowdog jim @ 16
and our belated bow to our theropod of snark:
Yea, TRex!!
Yes, we clipped their wings. Trying to keep them out of our hair.
Hello there TRex! I’m a big-dog girl, but I must say that between Suzanne’s Token and these cuties, tiny dogs are beginning to appeal to me.
TRex @ 9
Done with chores. Posted a video. FREE for the weekend ! (except homework)
Hi Alicia!
Pach, your pups are cute — LOTS of ears!
Speaking of beasties, there is a certain Siamese nudging at my shin right now.
Back in a bit.
Dang, TRex, how can you compare apples and oranges…! Sheesh!!!
Pachacutec @ 26
Did you bronze their wings? *g*
TRex the puppies have MUCH bigger ears.
Joy, on the right, is 9 months, and full grown. April is almost full grown at just under 5 months.
I’m a cat person myself, but I do love my friend Jo’s chihuahua and my sister’s corgi. Tons of fun wrapped up in small packages :-)
I understand Scarecrow got into a bit of trouble , something about laughing out loud at them, I’m not sure of the details.
Bronze?
No.
Golden fried.
CTuttle @ 32
i dunno, the bats look more grill-able.
Pachacutec @ 35
Do you promise to tell me if they decide to visit Texas?
Music for the last segment of Moyers tonight.
What else is everyone in the mood for?
Scarecrow? We sicced Toto on his ass.
Little dogs often get the “yapper” canard. Are your new little ones talkers?
Pachacutec @ 38
Right up there with buffalo wings!
Sure, next time we’re in Texas, there will be an announcement.
Though I have not been in Texas since 1990.
wangdangdoodle @ 41
Ooohh, John Prine…nice!
Suzanne @ 16
I been seen the dog.
She don lie.
Cutest dog in da world.
But, P….bats be cute too.
tw3k @ 39
oh you’re just awful!!
CTuttle @ 32
i appreciate that the Flying Monkeys from the Wizard of Oz has not been mentioned.
the Surge Worked!
and the FMs are coming out Cheney’s butt.
Pachacutec @ 42
Can those wee little things actually reach a human ass?
Pachacutec @ 42
lmao!
Pachacutec @ 42
HA! Good thing keyboards are cheap these days!
tw3k @ 39
Just like them kitties…?!!! ;-)
Elliott @ 48
:’( I like small grill-ables.
Pachacutec @ 35
do they have their own facebook pages yet?
madmommy @ 50
My parents told the story of watching a Chihuahua trying to mate with a Great Dane in heat.
CTuttle @ 53
:)
Oh, and they leave their guano in a litter box.
demi @ 47
Token has bat ears – a significant amount of cuteness comes just from those ears almost as big as his head.
DrDick @ 56
Interestink.
DrDick @ 56
Hmm. That probably required a position that wasn’t in the manual….
I’ll start out slow with Tom Waits from his golden years (Burma Shave, but the band is playing Gershwin’s Summertime), then move to a class Donald Fagen (in the hiatus between Steely Dan and his solo albums).
forgive me o blogospherical beings for a double post*.. but I want to see what FDL has to say about my vision:
Couldn’t a single Iraqi victim bring a ‘wrongful death’ or ‘wreckless conduct’ charge against George Bush? What if a suit were brought before the Iraqi Courts (assuming they’ll have some kind of courts in the future) by a citizen of Iraq. International bodies could be used to validate and implement the judgement and the sentence.
Can you picture George Bush as an inmate, doing years upon years of hard time for each conviction of wrongdoing? Hours, Days, Years, Lifetimes… rotting in prison.
Simple, isn’t it? He did commit the crimes. He started an unjustified and untriggered war. The list of offenses is great, lets face it. Spying on his own population is one of the lesser charges; try Murder, Torture, Conspiracy to commit the same.. the list would indeed be long. What if an International court were to find itself able to bring such charges and enforce them? George would end up in jail. I prefer to picture him in jail, rather than executed. He certainly deserves the time to sit and think, alone and sober for a long, long time.
And he’d be defeated, after all, by a single Motherless Child from Fallujah. It would be ironic, no? After all, one must remember Rove’s intellectual ‘tower of power’ is baseless. Eventually, you will see that something so small, with a pure heart, will overturn it. Gandhi did it. It’s the modern David v. Goliath scenario.
*see orig. @ the smirk: Motherless Child v. Bush.
DrDick @ 56
Was it successful? ;0)
Adorable! This photo makes me happy. Joy and April — welcome to the Lake!
Christine
Heh, cute pictures, Trex…
Not exactly their own Facebook pages, but they are depicted in a group.
GordonM @ 62
Ol’ Tom looks like he’s feeling his oats in that one. (Haven’t gotten to the second one yet.)
montag @ 61
It was actually more of an exercise in frustration. I have personally watched a Shetland stallion attempt to mount a full sized mare and get the sh*t kicked out him for his efforts. Size queens, what can you do with them?
Pachacutec @ 67
If you browse applications in Facebook there’s actually one to help showcase your dogs :-)
yellowdog jim @ 49
Suzanne @ 59
Neil Young, anyone?
DrDick @ 69
When you’re thinking with the tiny head bad things happen.
Token
montag @ 61
I don’t know the kama sutra covers’em all…!!! ;-)
Suzanne @ 75
Suz, he is one adorable doggie.
Suzanne @ 75
What breed? Absolutely precious.
LoudounLib @ 77
A patriotic puppy!
Suzanne @ 75
Personally, I think it is the fuzz factor. Reminds you of those fuzzy stuffed toys you had as a child.
Twain @ 78
Havanese would be my first guess…
What I like about my chihuahuas, they’re tougher on the president than congress, and when they shit on my floor, they’re at least sorry.
madmommy @ 74
That has certainly been my experience.
Pachacutec @ 67
my, but what large ears we have.
Suzanne @ 75
Aww! Too cute, expecially to Sugar Mountain!
Token is a cutie.
Token is a mutt – part laso apso(?), wee bit of maltese, some min poodle (all from mom) and part scottie, yorkie and rat terrier (from dad).
If a cat can intrude into the doggie blogging:
The cutest Callie in the world
apologies to those who’ve already seen the pic :-)
gasho @ 63
Would that it shall be so. Justice, sweet and cosmic, for a vicious little brat. Like it so very much. Thanks for the imagination and the wit!
Suzanne @ 87
Good genes.
Suzanne @ 87
The combination works :)
LL
Love it. Just lovin’ it.
Okay, I know folks said it was about Coc*ine.
But, whatever. I choose to think about that song bein’ about Youth.
And, that’s what I think and love about it.
Bringing the best of my youth with me. (and, not ta otha stuff, fer sure.)
Time to brew me a cup o’ Licorice Tea.
Kicks Just Keep Getting Harder To Find.
:)
wangdangdoodle @ 85
I heard that song on the way back from Richmond yesterday, and it’s been in my head ever since.
Pachacutec @ 82
707
LoudounLib @ 73
How about a true classic, originally from his first solo album?
What’s really nice about this little cock-tail party is I only have to imagine my “little black dress”.
And so do you.
Suzanne @ 87
And more adorable — boy, pets really are a great cure to a tough work week. These are so sweet!
demi @ 92
I can’t verify this, but the deejay on XM yesterday said that the song was about a club in Canada for teens, and you couldn’t be over 21 to be a member. Who knows? It’s just a great song :-)
wangdangdoodle @ 96
oh ghod. the black dress again. now where are my babs pearls?
I would say something, except that picture made me dissolve into unintelligible baby-talk gibberish.
I love all doggies….and my current doggies are medium sized……but little ones, like babies, just melt my heart into a gooey puddle.
althespook @ 99
Oh shit, not the necklace?
wangdangdoodle @ 96
And mine goes nicely with my flip-flops ;-)
David W. Bartoo @ 89
completely off topic but David, where it says address below your name under the submit comment box, you need to put in an email address instead of your street address
thanks
GordonM @ 95
Gordon, that is fantastic…
THUUUUUUUUUUUH Yankeees …..
……. are winning in the 9th.
They can’t advance in the wildcard race because the two teams that they lead, played each other. Detroit won, and so now they have the honor of trailing the Yankees by 2.5 pending the outcome of the Yankee game in Kansas City.
Suzanne @ 103
Topic?
big mitch
FYFY
BigMitch @ 105
and hey, how ’bout those Nats? They broke up a no-hit bid by Smoltz…but they still lost the game.
The Mets won tonight 11-3, taking another game lead over the second place Phillies. The lead is now six games.
I hear tell there’s another team somewhere in the New York metropolitan area.
wangdangdoodle @ 96
Me too!
What’s really cool about my little black dress, is it’s weight variable.
LoudounLib @ 102
I think mine is quite stunning with my chest length beard and hairy legs.
What is FYFY?
wangdangdoodle @ 106
We don’ need no steenkin’ topic! this is Late Night!
LoudounLib @ 88
That is one cute kitty. Mom is here and she’s worried that her hubby will not pass out the treats to the 5! cats she left at home. They are very particular, the bottom of the food bowls must never appear, and treats are promptly at 9 pm. They are always very pissy for a day or two when she comes home from a trip.
I don’t wanna work tomorrow…it’s too much fun here!
Suzanne @ 103
Oops will make change. Thank you.
althespook @ 99
althespook @ 111
How does one emote a wolf whistle online?
Suzanne @ 107
Wait a minute. FYFY. Is that getting a little personal?
wangdangdoodle @ 112
Steve Gillard, rest in peace, used to say f*ck the f*cking yankees.
madmommy @ 114
Sounds like *someone*’s got their domesticated monkeys very well trained.
madmommy @ 114
The things we do for our kittehs! ;-) And thank you for the compliment, Callie will take it as her just due.
greenwarrior @ 71
try this one.
it is very well done.
really.
LoudounLib @ 3
Sorry, got called away to help my ex with our 11 year old.
That will also serve to answer how my night is going!!!
Be careful at work tomorrow.
LoudounLib @ 104
The original is almost all solo, till the very end (the fade out) where this wicked, haunting electric wails in the background. About my favorite Neil Young, except for maybe some stuff from Buffalo Springfield.
My partner wants to get Joy and April a set of these.
Whaddya think?
And I thought flip-flops went with everything? Even pearls.
Suzanne @ 120
A toast. To Steve. *ding*
FORK typo…. that should have been FTFY
dang, and its early and I had no champagne while at the art show this evening either so I have no good excuse
sorry
TRex @ 9
Hi TRex!! Great pictures.
james @ 124
Thank you, I will. Hoping for a quiet Saturday!
BigMitch @ 105
And the BOOOOSOOOXXXX Win!!! *g*
Pachacutec @ 126
That’s for boys. you need puppy dresses.
Pachacutec @ 15
Very cute pups. Love the eyes.
Pachacutec @ 126
Definitely. No self-respecting chihuahua should be without that ensemble.
althespook @ 121
Yes, there is some debate in the family on that very topic. They are all almost freakishly large cats, the smallest a 10 pounder and the biggest nearly 20. Ralph actually looks more like a Buddah than a kitty. But he thinks he is top cat and the girls let him, mostly.
It’s So Noisy at the Fair.
Can we please talk about the little black dress without the noise.
Somebody here will talk sports or whatever…
SnarKassandra @ 133
Well, maybe they can be lesbians.
Or, he did find some pink gingham dresses online somewhere,m but I don’t have the link.
I think you should get the girls this, Pach.
Pachacutec @ 126
Oh. My. God.
Hey, speaking of butts, did you all see this?
cheeky
I think the Aussies were inspired by W’s “kick ass” comment. “Hey George, kick this!” Snarky, you might have to ask for TexBetsy’s permission to wander over here, but I give it a PG13 rating.
Just dropping in to say hi you all. And TRex, your fascist-nista’s report the other night is a keeper!
Pachacutec @ 126
“Hey sailor”
althespook @ 111
Hey, we’re all the bus driver from Ms. Doubtfire!
Ballgame over. The Yankees win. THHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUHHHH YANKEES WIN!
eek….”Sugar Mountain” about cocaine?? I never heard that! And just when I was starting to convince myself that “Puff the Magic Dragon” isn’t about……um……cigarettes.
Always thought it was supposed to be a metaphor for childhood. Oh well….as you say LL, whatever, it’s a great song.
btw…….hot enough for ya, these early autumn days?
Gordon, I really love earlier Neil Young, and of course the Buffalo Springfield-era Young.
Suzanne @ 139
Hmmm. I donwanna scare ‘em.
do-si-do i am staying quietly in the background at home right now. my cousin just lost computer for a while week. i am very, very good and very, very quiet.
oddmommy @ 145
hey oddmommy!
It is too f***ing hot around here. I am so ready for the chilly temps in Liverpool!
oddmommy @ 145
Never heard that?
Must be the crowd, or the age.
I’m still bummed we don’t get to talk about Little Black Dresses.
I woulda thought at least TRex would backed that!
I’m going to change into my jammies.
Yankees?
There was a sweet story in the Yankee game. Two childhood friends made it to the majors, and one pitched against the other with the game on the line. That’s why I love baseball.
Suzanne @ 75
OMG!!!
What a cutie!!
These are my pet republicans .
Suzanne @ 139
Aren’t you afraid it might make them ill?
demi @ 137
demi, being as its friday night, have you been visiting the pinot again? cause I still have my sharpie…
kick. it.
“cry a while” off of “love and theft” release date
9-11-01wtf! love and effin’ theft! arghhhhh!Pachacutec @ 126
very chic
do-si-do @ 141
Gawd, I love the cheekiness of the Aussies…!!! ;-)
Nope, but, what a great idea.
Pull that sharpie out and write on this!
Pachacutec @ 126
I think I’m really not a person who enjoys pets.
Hiya pet!!!
SnarKassandra @ 148
Wise choice.
SnarKassandra @ 153
cassie, i get a 403 error on your link.
tw3k @ 160
You will like mine.
SnarKassandra @ 153
Bad linky. ;(
Al,
actually, I was thinking the opposite…
I got my Pencil…
Gimme something to write on.
What song was that?
Teacher Something?
Or, I suppose we could restore their wings.
SnarKassandra @ 164
Still forbidden.
oh, but tw3k — to me, there is nothing better in the world than coming home after a long, tough day at work and getting an overdose of unconditional love from the kitteh :-)
my republican pets
demi @ 159
define *this*…:)
demi @ 166
Hot For Teacher-Van Halen
Pachacutec @ 167
so cute!!
DrDick @ 162
Cassie, I’m thinking you might do some extra dishes or make a nice SNACK for your loved ones?
LoudounLib @ 88
very cute cat.
When I lost the use of my left hand my ex thought it would be cute to get me a cat….a three-legged cat who’s half blind.
Next to my son, he’s my best bud, named him Duncan.
SnarKassandra @ 170
I think you are being a very baaaaaad girl.
Christine Edmonson @ 174
Even the one with the nasty attitude?
SnarKassandra @ 170
What are they made of, cauliflower?
The Bible tells us that on the 7th day God “rested.” In the original text, the word translated as rested, is v’ye’nawfash. It has the same root as nefesh or (in English) soul. Thus, it can be translated, On the seventh day, God renewed his soul.
Be that as it may, my Sabbath is about to begin, and I bid all my friends at the Lake a fond adieu and a peaceful day. Shabbat Sholom!
SnarKassandra @ 170
no, cassie, this is still the wrong link. there are our DINO congressional LeaderSHEEP…
I’ll talk little black dresses. Gawd knows, someone’s gotta take ‘em back from Ann Psychoulter.
I had a classic or two in my younger, slenderer days.
SnarKassandra @ 177
Especially the one with the nasty attitude.
madmommy @ 172
I’m definitely too young to be having this converstaion…
wangdangdoodle @ 161
eh, wangdangdoodle how’s the night shift?
SnarKassandra @ 170
Too cute to be Republicans.
Have fun tonight, gang. Time for an old mummy to hit the crypt.
madmommy @ 178
yep!
And this is a teacher screaming at a class. or maybe it is a mom or a dad.
Oh, snarky, you’re always good!
Suffice to say that some spunky aussies organized a march to moon Bush today. Pretty funny and to the point.
BigMitch @ 179
Sholom, Mitch.
oddmommy @ 181
I did too, but never got to wear them, just like Larry “will he or won’t he” Craig…
SnarKassandra @ 170
Lovely!!!!
The Alan Keyes/JW Watts branch of the GOP sheeple
(Don’t everyone throw stuff at me all at once)
Nite, Big Mitch!
BigMitch @ 179
On the seventh day, teh republicans heard “invested”.
Pachacutec @ 126
very nice.
i guess leather and studs would be in bad taste?
the sailor outfits are great.
maybe a little D&S, no?
BigMitch @ 179
shabbat shalom!
althespook @ 183
It’s somewhat embarassing for me to even admit that I know this. But it was the 80’s, what can I say.
SnarKassandra @ 177
Definitely not…just for ones with a good attitude.
Teacher Teacher
Rockpile
Pachacutec @ 186
Night, Pach. Snuggle up with your new dollies.
Good night Pach and Pets!
Pachacutec @ 126
My son’s dog is a 80 lb lab. If you put a piece of clothing on him (as we have to do during hunting season – orange all of November) he is just so proud. If you tell him he’s a “good boy” he will reach down and grab it (possibly ripping it) and hold it up very, very proudly.
I have never even attempted to explain to him that this is unbecoming behavior from a dog who puffs up and delivers ground-shaking barks at any stranger who dares to approach the house. But I was born in a different millenium, so maybe it’s me.
BigMitch @ 179
Peace, Mitch
oddmommy @ 181
I’ve got this little number in my closet with a low cut back down to HERE that has strands of pearls draping over the part above HERE. Thrift store, five dollah.
Pachacutec @ 186
Nitey night, Pach. Don’t roll over on the pups
Oddmommy,
Never too anything not to have a little black dress.
I seen yur picture.
Get a Little Black Dress.
Every Girl’s Gotta Have One.
I found one that’s a bit stretchy and ribbed.
What I meant by Variable.
wangdangdoodle @ 203
I don’t suppose it is my size, neighbor?
Southern Rock anyone?
Restless – Blackberry Smoke

SnarKassandra @ 187
I was making that exact same face earlier this evening. Up to my elbows in buttercream frosting, trying to decorate a Mickey Mouse cake for my little guy. The younguns decided to chase each other around the kitchen while swinging Lincoln Logs at the other’s head. NEVER AGAIN will I decorate a cake. Not going to happen. Ever.
LoudounLib @ 98
‘Kicks’, by Paul Revere And The Raiders, was arguably the FIRST anti drug song during its time. Maybe the only . . as a teenager stoned most of the time, I still loved the song for its energy. Good angst, too . . .;-)
SnarKassandra @ 177
Just be very quiet. Particularly about being good.
G’ Nite Pach and Big Mitch
May you both sleep well, untroubled by the madness of our days.
SnarKassandra @ 206
My dear, you are still much too young to wear dresses which are “down to HERE”. Have to wait a few more years for that (and probably not in your aunt’s sight even then).
Here are some good animals and a bad one!
SnarKassandra @ 206
I think it would fit but maybe just a little shorter? Somewhere around a size 6.
Pachacutec @ 167
that enhancement will be perfect when you take them out to play
http://www.batcatalog.com/scri…..roduct=243
OK, my turn to turn in.
Stay safe all and pleasant dreams.

Little Black Dress
David W. Bartoo @ 211
wanna try again – with an email address – still showing street :)
thanks
I see by the clock on the wall (erm, actually on my wrist) that sadly it’s time for me to go. Good night all, continue the fun without me!
james @ 215
Night James.
LoudounLib @ 169
heh, well I guess that is good. I haven’t had a pet since my lizard starved to death and my cat ran away because I was never around :( Dogs just poop to much. I really hate stepping in dog poo.
DrDick @ 212
Plus, there is possibly no sight more depressing to me than to see a dress that I feel I look good in worn by a young, cute teenager. The comparison is never good for me.
good night james, sweet dreams
LoudounLib @ 218
‘night, LL – sweet dreams and enjoy that sweet kitty.

A pet bridge? I think I could like a pet bridge.
On Topic Alert!
bat wings
Night LL. Hopefully the citizenry will behave themselves tomorrow.
G’nite, Lou honey!! Go save some lives tomorrow!
Those are fine pups General Pach.
Confession: I (sort of ) snagged a bazaar magazine from the doctors office. I felt it was imporant to get a handle on how unneccessary products are marketed to the bourgeoise these days, and hw the beautifl people are faring while this country falls appart. (er that sounded Marxist, and I’m not). At any rate Oscar de la Renta says his dream guests would be Michael Bloomberg, Barbara Walters and Hillary Clinton becuase she would probably keep the conversation going.
I guess that’s a problem with Oscar?
Nite, Sleepers…!!!
DrDick @ 189
Lila tov!
LoudounLib @ 198
good night, LL, don’t mind the breaking glass
madmommy @ 178
Edible pets are definitely ok in my book.
madmommy @ 222
That comparison is no good for anyone – other than the teen.
Steve-AR @ 7
yes, but which one is Eric?
tw3k @ 234
I resemble that remark!
Hell, there’s alot to remind us of time passing.
Bats.
Hot Teachers.
All kinda hard stuff.
Never, ever feel you can’t wear a little black dress. It’s a symble of something, self view…it’s a good empowerment to hold on to.
‘Tis what I believe, friends.
SnarKassandra @ 188
lol, good photoshoping there snarkly.
Suzanne @ 234
True. Age is not kind to any of us. I long ago gave up on attempting the “studly” look.
OK, I can do “topic“.
Evening everyone-
Smokin’ little dress, there, demi. *g*
wangdangdoodle @ 203
Oooh. Can I borrow it for tomorrow night at the lake?
crap I hate editing on dialup/opera
demi @ 237
seen this one?
“Pressure Mounts Against Little Black Dresses“
DrDick @ 241
I comfort myself be remembering that one day they, too, will have gray hair and parts that aren’t nearly as perky as they used to be. All in all, I’d still rather get older, it beats the alternative!
petwrecker @ 237
One of these days I’m going to start raising guinea pigs.
Thank you, Ron.
(blushing, a little…)
(also, listening to other Rust Never Sleeps stuff.)
Thanks for the reminder.
Heels Too, I might add.
CTuttle @ 225
How about a little farther south?
Carlos
btw,
Cougar is a state of mind!
ardens @ 248
Always a good choice and he is currently playing on my stereo.
greenwarrior @ 243
So long as you don’t dive in it! And just as soon as Snarky’s done with it.
mui @ 244
Mitch lives in Alaska..I suspect it was sundown there when he signed off.
tw3k @ 247
O! No!
demi @ 205
vell, if you must know, I do have a comfy little cotton thang that is a little flirty in front and discreet in back. Not fancy enough for cocktail parties……but it’s not like I’m exactly no. 1 on the Beltway “A List,” anyway….
yellowdog jim @ 245
Oh, that little black dress :o looks good demi!
Let’s try a bit further north (Dakota).

Yout’ is wasted on the young.
demi @ 248
Be foolish to pretend I didn’t notice, so might as well speak the truth, right?
(the heels tie it all together, btw)
yellowdog jim @ 217
OH! I love it!
oddmommy @ 255
Considering what comprises “A” list on the Beltway, would you really want to be?
Well, if you want to get risque, nothing like the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
I’ve been called enigmatic.
From Little Black Dress to
this…(gottcha).
wangdangdoodle @ 241
When is prime bat time in Austin?…looks like it would be worth a visit.
GordonM @ 201
Nah, Gordon, we used to have a rescued Australian Shepherd who was the same way. We just marked it down to a communication problem.
oddmommy @ 255
Works for this Cocktail Party.
Very Cool On Ya.
Good Girl.

Best line ever: ” I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die”
JC is soooo cool.
larue @ 209
was it before Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit”? Another high energy classic.
Steve-AR @ 253
Ah that just boggles the mind. I hate flights where I get up at 4AM in the morning to drag myself to Long Island and hours later I am all screwed up by the fact its daytime in Jpan.
oddmommy @ 254

This must be old, I hear they’re not so good this year. Too much rain so they don’t have to fly out, all the skeeters are right under the bridge.
Oh! The Congress Avenue bridge has just been renamed… Ann Richards!!!!

I’m back. Did anyone do dessert yet?

we’re still working on the little black dress and bulgarians with side dishes of jefferson airplane.
I just arrived and usually lurk. Have people been commenting on the Gonzales resignation having to do with a Fitz investigation thing or has that topic been beaten to a pulp
bye demi
DrDick @ 275
Can’t go wrong with Jimmy.
How’s ’bout…. some feats?
DrDick @ 257
Ooh, I do like that one.
SnarKassandra @ 290

and good luck with the partay. Been that, done there…..it IS exhausting.
BUT, when they get older, you get to do the parties outside the house, and other folks do the work. My 8 year old had his last one at Ultra Zone…..I didn’t play laser tag; rather I sat on my butt the whole time. It was great fun.
OK. I found you a chocolate raindeer. Will that work?
yellowdog jim @ 306
Riiiiiight… I posted some bats, so I’m cool.
Now let’s go solid swamp boogie.

the consensus of the various bloggers who have been posted here suggests that Bolton threw him under the bus because the telephone companies are getting scared about the damages lawsuit in California based on the illegal spying that they have been cooperating with. The telcos’ exposure is in the billions and they are desperate to get ink on paper, any paper, to give themselves legal cover to wear it out in court. The current tactic being considered at the white house is to get congress to pass a NEW FISA LAW (that’s right a new one, even though they just passed another one a couple of months ago) which contains language specifically exempting telcos from damages lawsuits arising from contested constitutionality wiretaps. Bolton did a poll of congress and learned that if gonzo wasn’t gone-zo, that legislation was Dead On Arrival at the Hill. All the stuff about his wife and chimpy’s being SOOO UPSET was just window dressing. As usual, it is all about the money.

What’s the difference between the mousse and chocolate pudding. That is what it looks like.
yellowdog jim @ 273
i was supposed to fly this morning to chicago for the weekend, but haven’t recovered enough from my sore throat and cough so i cancelled the trip. fever seems to be gone and i have more energy.
wangdangdoodle @ 288
In defense of Bulgaria, it is supposed to be a nice place to visit and during WWII it was the only place in Eastern Europe that was a sanctuary for Jews.
althespook @ 320
Now that is a tight nutshell.
Steve-AR @ 331
So why do their judges hate Suzanne?
tpchi @ 314
We cover the spectrum. Welcome!!!
SnarKassandra @ 328
You buy chocolate pudding at HEB for a buck. You buy chocolate mousse at a Fancee Restoorant and pay about 8 bucks for it. no other detectable difference that i’ve noticed.
newtonusr @ 323
Ah, right, that is the name. Yup, good :)
althespook @ 335
Only 25 cents if you buy the 4-pack in lunchbox size :)
Steve-AR @ 332
They are referring to the one dayam bulgarian judge who always scores my dives low – just that one *%%$& who gave me a perfect 10 for not diving yesterday and then didn’t say a bleeping thing when I didn’t dive tonight.
That Bulgarian. The country is quite lovely from what I’ve learned.
SnarKassandra @ 331
Mousse is much lighter and fluffier than pudding.
wangdangdoodle @ 311
“To T or not to T ?“, that the Rex question.
SnarKassandra @ 330
The main difference is that mousse is French, and pudding is English or American. French mousse has real cream, pudding has flavor enchancements. And additives. I think.
Christine.
SnarKassandra @ 330
I think it’s pretty much the same, I had a cocolate pot de creme the other day and couldn’t tell the difference. Pudding is easier to make?
greenwarrior @ 330
may you use the heavy healing vibes on you.
please.
althespook @ 320
Thank you very much, that was an amazingly thorough response offered on the fly. However I was also interested in reactions regarding the Muslim charity group that Fitz was invesigating of yore, the one that Judy tipped off that some speculate has ties that bind to GW.
Here is a nice twofer.
The Bulgarian judge is holding a grudge because of that one time I splashed all over his white linen suit. When he stood up all drenched to yell at me, everyone could see his errr ahmmm shortcomings.
SnarKassandra @ 334
They’re jealous?
See I learn something everytime I come here. Today I learned that if you ask a question, you can get 6 different answers and they all sound like they know that they are right.
My faithful dog Whiskers believes, as Bush said, people and bats can coexist.
DrDick @ 313
How about a little breeze?
How about a chihuahua cake?
tpchi @ 345
that certainly is an interesting co-inky-dink i’ve been chewing on.
tw3k @ 333
Same logic just sub. Ed Gillespie for Josh Bolton. Gillespie was/is lobbyist for telecoms, big oil etc. I think he is the one that got the marching orders from big money to try and salvage something from the mess that Bush has made.

p.s. watch the video Garden State.
No one loves dogs more than I do.
But in all of the Glorious World That Is Dogland, it’s the tiny punting dogs I like the least. (Which is to say I only love them rationally.)
How big will they get? I mean, all puppies are friggin’ adorable, on that I’m sure we can all agree.
DrDick @ 346

hey NPB, token says you gotta come visit again real soon.
wangdangdoodle @ 288
thanks for white rabbit. one of my all-time favorite songs.
Here’s another twofer, featuring one of my homeboys.
My faithful dog Whiskers wants to meet all the other firedogs. Another convention in Chicago, for the dogs?
tw3k @ 331

People who are stressed by the idea that there may be many answers or that the answers may change are called religious fundamentalists.
SnarKassandra @ 332
This is an “in joke” for sports enthusiasts back in the cold war days, when iron curtain judges always rated western athletes poorly and soviet athletes far above their skill.
bye y’all!
see yas tomorrow!
Night Cassie. Enjoy your weekend.

Harumph. What am I, chopped liver?
wangdangdoodle @ 343
Mousse gots bubbles – usually whipped cream but sometimes eggwhites mixed into it – pudding is a cooked on the stove type of pudding, and cocolate pot de creme is baked kinda like creme brule, only chocolate and without the crusty bits on top.
Alicia @ 373
night!
Fern @ 378
Hiya Fern! As long as it’s chocolate, we’ll all be ok.
To demi, WandDangDoodle, and the rest of the LittleBlackDress Brigade, I offer no video, but:

wangdangdoodle @ 380
That’s true too! Except you hardly ever talk about things I know anything about, and I do know about chocolate pudding!

The best mousse recipe is in Julia Child “The Way To Cook” cookbook..it uses both egg whites and whipped cream.
Steve-AR @ 384
And knowing Julia, about half a pound of creamery butter and a small bottle of sherry. But eet tastes soo looooveleee!

Military history of Bulgaria during World War II
seems to me like Bulgarian troops were at Stalingrad as allies to the Germans.
maybe that was Romanians.
Hmmm… I’m getting some tonite, Steak with sauteed mushrooms and onions, mashed potatoes, and asparagus…!!! Momma’s happy with my cookin’!!! ;-)

Though that utube does provide additional proof that some men should keep their shirts buttoned.

Ya start typing after that.
althespook @ 384
Don’t try to change the subject. You are SO busted.

Anyone remember a product called Whip and Chill? Powder you mixed with milk and whipped up, put in bowls and chilled. I loved it!
wangdangdoodle @ 394
yes, but it really doesn’t help much due to the beard and hairy legs…
Fern @ 383
Girl, I only talk shit around here. And then I lean back and lurk because I have sooooo much to learn!
:)
DrDick @ 361
awe.some.
althespook @ 402
I can…!!! ;-)
Romanians, Hungarians, Italians, Croatians, all at Stalingrad as allies of Germany. Very few ever came home.
@ 392 Bulgaria was a German ally, IIRC the King was himself German. When the Germans gave the Bulgarians orders to deport their Jews, the population and the King refused. Bulgaria was the only country in Eastern Europe that had more Jews in 1946 compared to 1939. The Bulgarians also refused to send troops to the Eastern front..the Romanian divisions were used as cannon fodder by the Germans.
Snagged the new thread!

thank you!!
We owners of large dogs call them “appetizers.”
Do you remember Grendl’s fruit bat pose? I would hope so. I have a new dog named Josephine who is part pit and black lab that is a real sweetie. Found out my porn name would be Nero Wacker, which is strangely appopriate
