I don’t think he is doing this for himself. The problem is that alot of our Congresscritters are not particularly deep thinkers, and they have to take advice where they can find it. Bush screwed it up, but that doesn’t meant we don’t have to do it (from their point of view). When you are wet behind the ears and out of the boondocks, it’s hard to take an independent stand unless you have independent understanding, which few of our reps do.</p> <p>This will play out on the ground in withdrawal under defeat or threat of defeat. Case closed.
