dan – in january, 2009, when you are in congress (*g*) can you promise:

1) to stand up to whoever is president, even (or especially) a democratic president?

2) to work to bring all of our troops home – no leaving behind 50,000 troops in those bases we’ve been building?

I wouldn’t support any foreign, permanent bases where they’re not welcome.

If our troops aren’t home by 2009, I intend on being very vocal to whomever it is in the White House that we need to bring them home, as well as vote accordingly.

Hi Dan,

Sorry to get here late. I am “only” 54 years old, but I have Medicare because I became disabled years ago. I am back at work now, so I will lose the Medicare coverage in about two and a half more years, when I will be about 57.

Who will insure me then? No one. It means I will be uninsured for eight years until Medicare kicks in again or Congress does something to open up Medicare for all.

I won’t go into details, but Medicare is wonderful. It’s a national disgrace that we don’t provide health care as a fundamental benefit of citizenship.

Oh, Linda. You’ll be where I am now and have been for the past 15 years. I pray you never have to do this and you’ll have a better alternative…cuz here, what doesn’t kill you makes you gruesome. :(

hey Dan- What I am hearing is a man that is going to parse his words very carefully! And I gotta tellya, that worries me. ” bring them home safely”? Ya gotta do better than that.
Not Support permanent bases “wherever they are not wanted” Again- parsing? Why should this country feel that they should be setting up Permanent Bases anywhere but in this country?
