There’s a new Annie Lennox album coming, “Songs of Mass Destruction”.
As much as I love her, I’ve been burned by Annie albums before. Eurythmics turned out some real stinkers a couple times, and her solo stuff has been technologically mired somewhere in the freeze-dried, antiseptic late 80′s for the most part. “Medusa” sounds like the soundtrack to karaoke night in a colony of android Dusty Springfields, and not in a good way.
This video is a fan mashup. You can watch the real video at the album’s Amazon page.
The release date is October 2nd.

What kind of Flyntery is this?
Too slow.
Now go tell the other kids.
Hi everyone
Hi TRex :-) Did you see my email yesterday about Kate?
TRex @ 5
done.
Lennox rules!!!
katymine @ 6
hey katymine. water’s a little choppy here at the lake, but we’re managing.
nice clean thread – lets leave the bad vibes downstairs where they belong :)
love annie lennox, trex! thanks
Hiya Miss Katymine..)
LoudounLib @ 7
I did, and thank you.
Today I got an email from Paul Reickhoff, which was awesome. He’s my new hero, especially after he gutted Fleischer on Hardball.
Sigh. I’m sure he has an awesome girlfriend, or wife, or whatever.
Her work on The Living Daylights bond film has always delighted me. They used the full vocal version as the cue for the attack on the safe house (via the prop of a walkman) and it rocked.
My Tubes were out until late….. it was 111 degrees here today and probably fried a relay somewhere. And then watched that Robin Williams movie where he is elected President.
TRex @ 13
wow, trex, email from reickhoff. sweet. and ya never know
Suzanne @ 11
I thought we left the majority of it, two threads back…!!!
You are relentless. *s*
Eureka Springs @ 18
It’s in his Dino DNA…!!! ;-)
Eureka Springs @ 18
Hey, a guy can dream, can’t he? ;-)

Man Of the Year.. A good escape movie for politicos and bloggers. I watched it for the second time a couple of nights ago.
Just when you think chimpy and pals can’t sink any lower:
Charities and other NGO’s to Face Administration Terror Scrutiny.
Never mind it is illegal, immoral, insane, impossible to do right, etc.
The best thing about this day is that it will soon be over.
Now I am very sad. I listened to Eva’s music, returned to where I was on the thread downstairs to find the punaise has given up punning!
yellowdog jim @ 21
Almost a zed…!!! ;-)
Gnome de Plume @ 25
‘Pon my soul, say it isn’t so!
burnspbesq @ 24
Amen………!!!!!!!!!
peanutbutter @ 27
Maybe it’s just because he’s jet lagged at the mo’…
althespook @ 23
Never bet against their ability to sink lower.
Hopefully punaise is just tired out from jet lag and the gift will return when his circadian rhythms reset themselves.
I’ll bet punaise can’t go 20 comments without falling off the pun free wagon.. *S*
I don’t think pun has given up punning. he has been away for all month and had jet lag and was just doing a driveby before heading to bed.
Woohoo is OUR Democratic Governor Janet is mad about Bushes SCHIP restriction ……. Ya don’t mess with a former US Attorney and AZ Attorney General…. Just this year she finally got the legislature to overturn the gag rule that prevented the schools informing parents about SCHIP when they were identified that they could qualify.
Those mean nasty AZ Repugs not only want to have people carry “Guns in Bars” [my state senator] but prevent low income families from even finding out about SCHIP. Some family values.
hi TRex.
…
was just kidding about de-punning. as if. y’all should be so lucky!
see — all is right in the world. thanks punaise ;-)
Eureka Springs @ 32

close as i can get.
i am slow.
though i have zed back in my day.
(3 or 4 weeks ago, alas)
i go for the dez nowadays.
bigger challenge really.
waiting minutes for a zed shot;
compared to lying in wait for days to nail a dez.
we never know when they might close the comments to a thread.
so what’s with this new “Questions” app over at facebook?
punaise @ 35
The crowd goes wild!
punaise @ 35
hurrah! I’m as addicted to puns as i am to snark, but alas, have little talent at punning.
French roast, I hope.
punaise @ 35
fork pun, ya dayam near gave me a punic attack.
newdealfarmgrrrlll @ 42
It’s a talent…???
Listening to the new Rilo Kiley album that was released yesterday. So far, I like.
Say It Ain’t So
hey Suzanne!
CT: an affliction
If E.T. is about, this is for him in re Abe Foxman at ADL: linky.
punaise @ 40
It’s like junk mail.. everyone joins it which automatically invites everyone else to get the ap.. Only one person has actually sent me a question. After twenty plus invites to add questions ap, I blocked it.
CTuttle @ 45
yes, like playing the kazoo, or talking like Donald Duck, yanno, all those cool things that I never mastered, socially inept as i am.
Gnome de Plume @ 25
what?
Punaise can’t give up punning.
he’d be Prose-aise.
and that sounds too much like an anti-depressant.
(i guess non-punning might not be prose.)
Is there an English Major at the Lake?
burns, nice article about Rilo Kiley in the latest Paste mag
LoudounLib @ 47
you have excellent taste in music ;-)
punaise @ 49
As I Suspected! Kinda like my poly sci degree, $2.00 and I can get a cuppa joe, (starb*cks, ya know!)!!! *g*
After tonight’s fun and games, it’ll be a cold day in El Centro before my kid gets permission to be on MySpace or Facebook.
newdealfarmgrrrlll @ 55
thank you :-)
Alrighty, I guess this was more of a driveby for me :-) Long day, so I’m giving it up. I got two zeds today so I’m happy ;-)
hey pun – you missed a couple small quakes in the bay area iirc.
g’night pb
punaise @ 40
i’ve used it.

mass harassment, simplified.
i’m simple and what else should we do at facebook, really?
everyone should always feel perfectly free to ignore any of my questions.
i am a low demand harasser.
LoudounLib @ 54
I saw that.
You’re here later than usual tonight. Off tomorrow?
Suzanne @ 60
Louis’ house-sitting companion didn’t report any damage or scares, so they must have been minor.

burnspbesq @ 63

Good night, Pups! *slowly dematerializes*
Gov. Janet Napolitano received 65% of the vote in 2006 and the Repugs are really pissed at McCain.
Did you know that McCain put together some wingers and ran a slate of candidates for state party offices trying to take over the local state party… BATTLE royal and McCain lost!
Now you have Dems & Repugs working together on a recall campaign for McCain which is legal in AZ.
Hmmm, I kinda like prose-aise. I guess that is for the rest of us non-punners. But then I think my name is a pun so maybe I am a punner and don’t gno it.

If I remember correctly wasn’t there just (two, three months ago) some serious political trouble in the Czech Republic because the prime minister or president was ordering two sets of books be kept?
Either way it’s gotta be better than having Wolfie there.
Wolfie was at the World Bank, where the US gets to pick the head. The sister agency, IMF, is where the EU gets to pick the head. Apparently the Russians may have support of China and India in this unexpected nomination.
punaise @ 92
Auf Weidersehen, Pun!!!
yellowdog jim @ 83
old-timer fuckery… goes along with old time religion
TeddySanFran @ 90
As this is my main area of expertise, I shall try to wax a few elephants on the topic.
First, there is no evidence those bombers have any bombs. In the past, Russian Strategic Rocket Forces (who control most of not all their nuclear weapons) have been very reluctant to allow a plane or sub to be out very far or very long with live nukes. This is for many reasons, and in the modern climate not the least is the possibility of a defection or faked crash and sale to rogue actors. Now that russia is happily capitalist again, that has become a serious worry for the people in charge of such things.
Also, their nomination is for show only, they know it won’t get through. but it is a sign they are starting to act like a real member of the western economic community, and that is a good thing IMHO. That is precisely why Putin will not attack anybody with anything serious, it would massively mess up his cash flow and those of the oligarchs he has backing him (some after being shown the inside of Lubyanka prison for a bit just to make the “who’s on top” point).
Another example is the new soviet fighters and helicopters being shown off at the currently underway Moscow Military Air Show. Unlike previously, the Russian Defense Forces do not get first pick of the litter. Instead, they have to buy them for hard currency just like everybody else. Big focus on China, India and Iran as well as some lesser clients. These are not junk, they are every bit as good as we currently have (although the new planes like the F-35 are said to be a full notch up the ladder, we’ll see…).
So bottom line, Russia is flexing flabby muscles for internal political consumption while busily becoming a well-behaved arms and energy supplier to the rest of the world.
Greed is better than nationalism because greed doesn’t require killing anybody to satisfy its desires….
mass exodus ….. I’m heading off to bed too… Nite all

just saw your comment downstairs.
i believe they are correct; that it is a hoax.
i googled the
“A moment I’ve been dreading. George brought his ne’re-do-well son around this morning and asked me to find the kid a job. Not the political one who lives in Florida.”
and all the references were insubstantial.
then i found this in more than one location,
but this one had the quotations from The Atlantic.
i’m going post a retraction and use this link.
thanks for mentioning this.
CTuttle @ 113
Oh, its FAR FAR WORSE than that.
Ladies and Gentle Firepups, I have had me an epiphany. I think I now understand WHY a lot of weird stuff is happening and it all fits together. Hoo boy. If I’m right, Chimpy has never been running the show in Iraq, Scowcroft has. This sort of thing is just his style, same as Desert Storm I. Dayam. I’m gonna be here while I eat but then go do a ravings post to line it all up.

CTuttle @ 121
no but i will, right now.
Hmmm. @ 125
Its been pulled to deal with some issues. And I am not going to talk about those issues on this nice clean thread.
CTuttle @ 127
The ADL is better and far bigger than some of the schmucks they’ve had to put up with over the years in their upper ranks. The best parts of its activities are right up there in the annals of the American civil rights wars. Horton says it so well in the article Alfred linked, “The fact that Foxman would compromise on a matter as important as the twentieth century’s first genocide because he feels raising his and his organization’s voice might interfere with Turkish-Israeli relations speaks volumes.” The Armenian and Greek communities in New England are watching this closely. The ADL is being tested.
althespook @ 103
i suspect that that about greed fails to be the case many a time, but i can see how greed may be seen as involving not as much killing since killing can be bad for business.

Les Arcanes du Chaos by Maxime Chattam (The Mystery of Chaos, apparently not translated in to English yet)
ARGUMENTAIRE : Esotérisme, codes secrets, sectes millénaires, complots…Maxime Chattam, le nouveau maître du thriller français, nous entraîne dans une terrifiante course contre la montre, contre la mort, au-delà du miroir.
hard to describe succinctly, but this sometimes cheesy, trying too-hard-to-be-Dan-Brownesque French thriller had a compelling intrigue: Skull & Bones type ultra-rich elite run the world and clash for power via manipulation of geopolitical events. our alleged “leaders” are just chess pieces moved around. Total Information Awareness type data mining used to program random individuals who become disposable pawns.

The Anti-Defamation League predates both the Armenian genocide and the genocides of WWI and WWII, including the Jewish Holocaust. And, of course, the formation of Israel.
It was formed in reaction to instances of severe anti-Semitism. Over the years, ADL members have helped other minorities in their civil rights struggles.

CT,
So sorry about your mom. It has been fifteen years since my wife’s mom passed, but my mom’s her mom now. I hope your mom is there to help your wife.
The problem ADL is going through right now is that they’re undergoing a convergence of bad image issues, many of which can be hung up on their director, Abe Foxman. Within the past two weeks, Foxman has come under increasing pressure as New England ADL chapters rebel against his denial of the Armenian holocaust.
Then the most recent episode of his spat with Walt and Mearsheimer became public with the Chicago papers reporting his heavy-handed dealings in the cancellation of a lecture the authors had hoped to give next month in Chicago.
Foxman has become the target of a lot of bad publicity at an interesting time. I’m not at all sure why the public utterances against Foxman escalated so broadly over the weekend.
ET, Another take on the ADL news you linked to.
Former head (Grossman) of A*P*C is also board member of ADL? hmmm

cnn reports that..
BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) — Nightmarish political realities in Baghdad are prompting American officials to curb their vision for democracy in Iraq. Instead, the officials now say they are willing to settle for a government that functions and can bring security.
That last sentence is the most important. Scratch democracy – We need a strong man (read: Saddam Hussein type) to bring security for the majority of Iraqis.
Well under Saddam they were safe but no democracy. Now they have democracy but are no where near safe. Then Iraq gets a strongman like Saddam, and has neither democracy nor safety.
How predictable. Will the dictator be a Sunni egomaniac as well?

To Annie Lennox defense:
I love her. She along with Joe Jackson, wow, a great contribution to music from the Royal Academy of music. Among others.

Spooky Al:
I read your post at Ravings, and I have one consideration for you from a total non-spook perspective. I have been following the military healthcare situation since Walter Reed’s WaPo exposure. Mostly from a systems point of view, but also from a nurse’s.
May I point out that Balad’s base has been hardened and now has (IIRC) the longest and biggest paved permanent landing strips and aircraft infrastructure? Oh – and the little detail that no one except health wonks like me notices: a brand spanking shiny new HUGE permanent tertiary care hospital staffed jointly by the USAF and the Army?
Balad is the key to strategic ops. And permanence isn’t being discussed – it’s already a fact and is built in.
The Army is broken – it has a 20% unsustainable broken soldier rate (those who are unfit for duty from all causes). But its sisters, the evangelical apocalypse infected USAF and USN are not broken. In fact, there is blood lust in the air….
Suzanne @ 220
Bon Nuit, Ma Cheri!!!
althespook @ 224
Our progeny keep getting more expensive everyday!!! *g*
althespook @ 206
* The technique of sponsoring coups didn’t serve us all that well in Vietnam.
* The Iraqi army rolled over for us because they were promised that they could keep their jobs if they did so. It pissed them off when we reneged.
* IIRC, I heard oil production was back up to 80% of capacity and was fetching on the order of 80 billion dollars per year. Of course, it’s costing about 50% more than that for the U.S. to provide forces to ride shotgun on that oil.
* Basically, we could buy Iraq’s oil for less than we’re spending to steal it.

N=1 @ 227
Balad is certainly one of the Four main bases envisioned within the longterm residence of American troops in Iraq…!!!
N=1 @ 225
Balad is one of the laager points, but thank you for that update. It does all fit together, doesn’t it? And why they wanted the us military and national guard destroyed to their current point is now clear: to prevent withdrawal prior to the completion of the dictatorship and its oil leases.
If our military was properly functioning, it would be able to handle the security duties with a small force and the rest return home. This would allow the dictatorships to consider getting frisky and perhaps not being so agreeable in the terms on the oil deal. So we have to have lots of troops there but not in good enough shape to really do much except laager up and rest. However, if attacked they would be able to give a good account of themselves, and that’s where we are at present.
Also explains all the equipment sent over with no way to get it out. It is going to stay there to keep the Iraqi dictatorship in line as long as needed.
Thanks for telling me that. And as for the xtianist air force, they will learn the hard way that “those who live by the sword die by it”. Iran is no pushover the way Iraq is, and Russia will very happily sell them weapons…
unconventional conventionist @ 232
Just now catching up with your comments – You might enjoy reading Madeleine L’Engle. She often weaves the importance of music and its relationship to the greater powers throughout her books – both fiction and nonfiction. Try the Time trilogy – A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door and A Swiftly Tilting Planet. And keep playing. Your music goes out and the waves go on into infinity. Who knows who is listening?
wigwam @ 228
Yes, and that’s the main reason we’re ready for the coup now! Thank you for providing that information, because the one thing I couldn’t explain was the current timing of the coup (seems a tad early). They want that oil revenue now! (course they are getting it cause it is being paid into some us-run trust IIRC)
And the iraqi army wasn’t supposed to believe that! I mean, how could they be so stupid? Answer, far too many years of sanctions and saddam…
And the plan i’ve outlined isn’t guaranteed to work. It does, however, allow all the inexplicably stupid things these bozos have done suddenly be explainable after all. THAT is what matters to me. If people are doing things for no reason you can figure out, YOU are the one in the dark, not them. All behavior is motivated.
Wigwam,
* Basically, we could buy Iraq’s oil for less than we’re spending to steal it.
Ironic, No? WTF??? :~(
N=1 @ 233
Everything in the end is quantum mechanical in nature, it merely appears solid and complex due to our poor senses. And quantum mechanics (despite the name) is all about waves. And modulated waves are music.
Ms. L’Engle may have been more scientifically accurate than she knew…
CTuttle @ 235
You (and I and all the rest of us) missed the point.
The oil companies aren’t BUYING the oil, Europe is. And the money being spent is TAX money, not oil company money. What matters to the oil companies is the ability to SELL the oil and reap the profits for THEM ONLY. everyone else can suck global warming.
althespook @ 238
She was weaving quantum theory and theoretical physics in her writing in the early 1960s! The books I referenced are targeted for youth readers, but they are so rich with paradox, ethics, physics, music and so much more, that it would be a shame to miss them.
N=1 @ 235
She wove some beautiful tales, I remember them fondly…!!!
CTuttle @ 241
The Summer of the Great Grandmother and a Two-Part Invention might be of some comfort and interest to you, CTuttle. (both non-fiction about her relationship with family, and life cycles)
Be prepared to throw up.
I normally don’t do this sort of link, but this is an exception because it connects to a book that we need, as anti-war progressives, to see gets as much blogplay as possible.
Get the barf bag ready. And then remember why we hate the war and the evil men who started and continue to maintain it.
OK – how about some righteous indignation for a late nite snack or early breakfast?

To me, a nurse, I see healing facial tissue and a lot of hurt – burns are brutal in the pain department. But I also look at families, and I see fear and worry – and love and uncertainty. But I don’t see anything that makes me retch, in and of itself, in that picture.
What does make me burn is the fact that a living human being – each and every one who has inherent worth and dignity – is used as fodder for another ’s financial gain, power grab and control and oppression of fellow humans. That does make me angry and despairing.
N=1 @ 244
Patco, warned us about this for years and years…!!!
Folks, poppa spook is getting the sleepees. I think I better float off into the tachyon continuum and curl up on my spook-hammock beside the river of stars…

N=1 @ 247
forgot you’re a nurse, N=1. I suspect MOST of us feel our gorge rise a bit seeing that. It looks like a cheapie horror movie, just look at the agony in that girls eyes…but it is all too real.
It is a good thing I believe in personal hells.
I always love L’Engle’s books when i got around to reading them. I hope to share them with my niece once she starts to read as well. I’m not around long enough to read to her nowadays. Her bits about music were the one thing i loved. I hadn’t realized she was touching on the multiverse theory in A Swiftly Tilting Planet, but now i do. As a kidlet i had no clue about it, i just adored that book to bits.
Music is also very intuitve, Al. i’m sure the other musicians around here have told you that too, even with the heavy science and math inside of it. I’ve always had a knack with the intuitive aspect of music instead of the pure theory and numbers parts. Hard to explain for me. I know what works and what doesn’t, but i have a harder time explaining it because i can’t seem to keep the music theory in my head to do so.
CTuttle @ 250
NATCA has been all but gelded, gagged and grounded. Read John Carr’s blog, The Main Bang! He’s an ace writer, and I don’t think anyone outside of NATCA and the NSA probably reads his work.
Just as few read the health blogs. Progressives have a really big blind spot, and I love what’s here, but it ain’t the whole picture. (I’m an ABD, Al -no fud for me. *g* I asked a politically incorrect question and lost my dissertation funding.)
althespook @ 248
Heh, ya bettah bring your ‘A’ game to play…!!! *g*
N=1 @ 253
Oops, I’m a measly little BA, my mom’s ABD like you, fer years now, hmmm…!!! NATCA replaced Patco? Or similar org’s?
aliasofwestgate @ 252
She’s housebound now, and her granddaughter responds to her mail, but she has written much non-fiction, several spiritual-based books (mostly about her questions TO her vision of a higher being), such as A Stone for a Pillow, and her web site will point you in the direction of how the fictional characters relate through her various series of books.
I met her once, and it turns out we recognized each other – I worked at a hospital next door to where she worked, and we passed most days on the street when she walked her dog or was going to or coming from work. She also had a horrible experience at the hospital where I had been, and I ended up apologizing to her, although I had hated working there and had left on my second anniversary date.
CTuttle @ 255
PATCO was disbanded. NATCA is the National Air Traffic Controllers Association – very good website.
As for formal education – degrees make no discernible difference. Intelligence, wisdom and the self-directed seeker of knowledge, wisdom and virtues aren’t degree-bound. Thank the stars for that! :^)
CTuttle @ 255
IIRC, PATCO is the air-traffic controllers union, the first union Reagan busted when he got into office. I’m not familiar with NACTA, though a quick google on it sends me to an organization of travel agents. Hmmmm.
N=1 @ 257
Very true, sheepskins are not true barometers of intellect, Shrub personifies that notion…!!! ;-)

morning raven. Another hot day which means no yard work. Didn’t you mention that your wife likes to garden? How’s that coming. Roswell keeps warning of a total outdoor water ban, but as of now we can still water once a week before 10:00 am. I hope that Marian is fixing goodies for us.
Good morning, pups. Today in the Times TOMC tries to make some sort of point about something or other and talks about Hugo Chavez and changing the clocks. Nicholas Cohen writes on Nicholas Sarkozy’s new order.

Coffee and tea are ready, and so is the French toast. JPL, it’s almost 80 here already and the sun isn’t even really up. I’m going to have that French toast before it gets too hot to eat! Have a great day, everyone.
Good Morning, Firepups!
It’s cool and cloudy here in central Jersey. We’ve had quite the autumnal cool spell here, with heavy overcast, occasional rain, and much-below-normal temperatures. Sorry we can’t seem to send any of this south, where the rain and lower temps would be much appreciated.
There’s a nice march for peace, jobs, and justice this Saturday in Newark. Any NY metro Firepups should check it out.
Work for peace, every day.
[waves hello to Marion]
Marion, I have a big pitcher of iced coffee. Pour yourself a tall, cool drink! And there’s a big bowl of fresh melon chunks. Thinking cool thoughts and sending them your way.
I’ve left bagels and cream cheese out for anyone to help themselves.
Be kind.
Good morning! Thanks for the bagels and cream cheese nj, and for the coffee Marion. Is that like crepes Suzette?
Good morning all. I just love the leadersheep!
[waves back to njprogressive]
Thanks for the iced coffee and melon, and the cool thoughts. My mom used to drink iced coffee all summer long. Down here they look at you like you’re from Mars if you even mention it! This is the land of sweet tea, which is good too, but most places make it WAAAAY too sweet.
This is my first early morning at the lake. Is it too chilly for an early morning dip?
Hey folks, the cell phone do not call thing is an urban myth. I had to bust that for an e-mail round a few months ago. I will get you the link in a minute.
Hi, Gnome de Plume. The water in the early morning lake is always just the right temperature, cool if you like it cool, warmer if you get goose bumps in cold water. Glad to see you!
Marion in Savannah @ 271
I ordered unsweet ice tea in a town in No. GA. The waitress asked if I was a yankee.
Here are a couple of links to the cell phone myth here and here
Good morning Gnome, welcome to the coffee club.
Good Morning!
Sorry I am not drinking iced coffee. Mine is freshly ground and just brewed. mmmmmmmm. Just got the first sip.
Egregious – are you in Maryland? I may have need of a kick-ass attorney to help a friend in a custody suit in Calvert County. Know any?
Hi Marion. I haven’t talked to you in awhile. Our hours must have shifted. Mine just did this morning. I woke up. wasn’t sleepy, so I got up to get some work done that I have been putting off. It’s good there are not too many folks at the lake this early (I’m on central time) so that I am not tempted to chat too much.
Well it’s nice to see you this morning, Gnome
Gnome, northern Virginia and alas no help on the lawyer thingie. Pups?
After watching Annie Lennox on some TV specials I went and purchased one of her albums. It was one of the biggest disappointments in my music purchasing life. I can’t say exactly what it was. I was bored half way through the album. No matter what style she was attempting I kept thinking about artists who do that style better. It’s like she is a jack of all singing styles but master of none. When she does ’soul’ I especially started thinking of all the soul singers who sound much better than she does. It just sounded like faux soul. There’s just a uninteresting quality to her stuff when you listen to it in more than just small doses.
I love Annie. i saw her with Sting and she blew his ass away!
JPL @ 275
Did you ask you if you felt like that it was too sweet?
Raven, I actually said I was a proud Yankee. Small town diners around north georgia still only make one type of tea. When I first moved here and ordered iced tea, I gagged. I’m sweet enough.

Mornin’ firepups! Gotta wonder if the heat here will EVER let up. OT – Just as we all predicted, my two rethug senators, Corker and Alexander, have returned from Iraq spouting the ususal cr*p about the surge working. Big write up of talking points in todays paper. *blergh*

We’ve watched both nights so far and will tune in for night three on Christian radicals, too.
A question occurred to Mr. S. last night. Why the Muslim radicals’ obsession with “the West?” Why not China, or Asia? Or is it that we just don’t hear about that?
(With apologies to Johnny Cash)

Bush Buys The Neocons’ Favorite Vietnam Myth
Good morning Everybody,
Well I started the day by registering the family’s cell phones on the Do Not Call list and practically had a bird when I saw it was a hoax.
A word about Mike Barnicle’s interview of the very flexible Ari Fleischer: He asked Ari a few polite questions and then asked him for the soldier’s name. This was NO accident. I know people have negative opinions about Barnicle, but I know he is no supporter of this horrific war.
Yikes! New thread…movin’ on….
Trex, Annie Lennox is an all time strong woman diva to me and maybe we “older” folks who fought for the liberation everyone now takes for granted. You really don’t love her if you don’t like her. Her last album wasn’t as strong, but she had just gotten over a bad divorce. The rest of her music is an anthem ,quite important and relevant in construction and meaning. Looking forward to the new one.
You are so completely wrong about Medusa – Annie’s version of Wait In Vain is something I play all the time. Couldn’t possibly disagree more with your post.
