I’m sorry. I wrote about this last week at brendancalling. The system is too deeply entrenched: i think my final wake up call was the O’Hanlonm/Pollack editorial, or more specifically hearing it repeated ad nauseum on everything from NPR to the BBC (and every newspaper) as the opinion of “war critics”. And we all know what happens in September: a democratic cave-in on Iraq that’s gonna make the Utah Mine look like a walk in the park.

In 2006 I gave support to a number of democrats and we’ve been stabbed in the back repeatedly. Including by the likes of John Conyers and Nancy Pelosi, not to mention Blue America candidates like Chris Carney and Joe Sestak.

So no. I’m not supporting anyone anymore unless they show they deserve it. Not in word, not in deed, and certainly not with my money. The people I helped to elect have not brought about the changes they promised. I have no reason to expect that the next batch are any different.

While I understand your disappointment-should have heard me cursing out the FISA sellout-the only way to get more and better Democrats, like Rick Noriega, from a state that Democrats have to be damn tough and resourceful in-is to work for them.
