If Rove is simply leaving to manage the next Fuhrer’s campaign, why not announce on a Friday afternoon? He has several left before he leaves. Something else is up. He is trying to put up a smoke screen to cover some other news. Or he was forced out and he wants to leave with a bang.

His surprise is simply, that on Sept 1, this will be a total police state. And we will sit here and do nothing about it. It’s over folks. Face it. Congress handed it to them.

You might want to check out Yahoo Pipes – that’s the sorta thing its designed for. Still quite the beta but might be worth checking out. There’s a news search widget right on the home page, you could then subscribe to the RSS feed and probably get your cell to let you know when something new pops up…

Problem is filtering, very crappy. If I put in a word like “karl”, I get all kinds of crap. Or even “rove” or “resignation”.

I guess I’m looking for a more personal filtration-alert system, one that doesn’t fail as much as the existing products do for my purposes.

Does anyone know Rove’s position on attacking Iran? Could Cheney’s plan have been stayed, at least until now, because of Rove? I can’t help but feel his leaving is not necessarily good for the rest of us; that something is pending that will shake the world. Rove is brilliant; his sub rosa campaigns were genius, but he also has a level of reality (and a few morals) not necessarily handicapping our VP.

Yes, that has crossed my mind, too. But it could be the reverse; the mounting Iran “threat” could be a diversion to keep the population sufficiently addled and not watching the machinations going on to protect the WH and OVP, while at the same time achieving their ends of complete chaos and disruption of global energy markets. A reverse two-fer.

Seriously, I wish there was a way to program my cell phone to alert me whenever key words appear in news together, like “karl rove plus resignation”.

I might have to have a chat with Mark Steckel about that one…
