So we can cheer the Republicans, sit back, and eat wholesome multigrain chip lites while applauding the entertainment. Only–have the Dems learned any lessons in the meantime about standing up to the Republicans? And about providing a visionary leadership that will deal with the ills that Dubya has visited on the US?

I’ve read more than a few times that Republicans in this day and age can only win most elections IF they can figure out ways to supress Dem voter turnout. This sort of thing is where the term “rovian”comes from. It’s what he does. Go back and look at some of the things Molly Ivins had to say about Karl,look at the man’s history as an operative.

Those things could also work in a presidential campaign,but my spidey senses say RNC for some reason.

Morning All. WHOA, I jumped out of bed this morning, jolted by the news. Can I speculate? I said months ago that Rove would be the one to flip. He’s committed so many election law crimes and Hatch Act violations (and who knows what else) that he could face years in jail. And he’s too far up the food chain to get off lightly. It’s either spill your guts or go to jail. This is speculation, of course, but something stinks here.

I think he’s imune from prosecution

the president is too brazen, he’s gonna pardon anyone that gets into trouble and claim the entire affair is a democratic witch hunt

Anyone read the new Atlantic cover story, Lessons of a Failed Presidency: Why Karl Rove Couldn’t Deliver? We knew about the arrogance, but the details are worth the read. Basically, they pissed off their Republican allies in Congress.
