Given that I have Box Turtle, The Cheerleader, and the execrable Lamah Smith as my elected “representatives” in DeeCee, it would be nice to have someone who actually reflects some of my views. To have someone from Blue America as the choice would be finest kind.

The mine used/uses an old outdated and dangerous mining technique where they remove roof support pillars (made of coal) as they retreat out of the mine to increase their profits many percentage points at the risk of a roof fall.

The Minneapolis bridge was constructed with outdated and dangerous designs long ago and before the Pt. Pleasant Silver Bridge collapse taught us all to make bridges more safety redundant.

The bridge was forgivable, but to continue mining in such a dangerous way makes little sense.

We aim to leave no safe place for Republicans to run to regroup.

As a liberal in Texas, fighting John Cornyn, Rick Noriega is the man.

I sent many letters and emails to Cornyn and his coheart Hutchinson over the years and they all came back in a form letter. They all praised George Dubya’s war on Iraq.

It’s time for Rick Noriega to take charge and turn Texas and this country around!

Even in Williamson county, one of the legislative challengers, Karen Felthauser, came within 900 votes of an upset over incumbent Mike Krusee.

We have to keep pushing until the whole mess falls over. Then, we’ll need to grab a mop and bucket to clean it up.

Nevada has come close to going blue but almost isn’t good enough. There are lots of hard working Democrats out there pounding the pavements, running workshops, volunteering for phone-bank duty at the local Democratic office. They organize their communities and have monthly coffee meetings to discuss issues and processes.

Do I think we will go blue this time? No. Close, maybe. Some candidates repeatedly insert independent to describe their position to put some distance between them and the Democrats though they are on the Democratic ticket. This really gets my attention. What is going on here? Do they feel embarrassed or disillusioned with Democrats? I can’t get an answer out of loyal volunteers. They don’t seem to want to pursue the subject.

It is the north part of the� state that throws the election to the Republicans. They do it every election. I am stumped as to how to change the outcome this election. Keep in mind, many of these citizens still pride themselves in being “Mississippi of the West”.

This is another state I think will be hard to turn but it is important we keep trying for lots of reasons. However, it is true that it will never be Blue if Democrats distance themselves from their own party. That is a sure recipe for failure.

I live between California and Nevada but keep my drivers license and voting registration in Nevada. My vote really counts there. In California I bump into myself many times over :))
