Look, I am EXTREMELY pissed, not to say alarmed, at what has happened to my country and my rights. They no longer exist…or those that do hang by a thread that the Dems are all too willing and able to cut. I am with Arthur Silber on this. It is NOT a repeated series of mistakes, misreads, getting p0wnd. If that is truly the case then they do not deserve to control anything, certainly not the government, because they are incompetent, but I do not think it is general and broad incompetence. It is general and broad malice, greed, power humger, and a huge pile of self-serving.

What REALLY makes me angry is how so many of you simply forgive and forget. No matter what they do, or fail to do, you get upset for an hour or two and then conveniently and repeatedly forget the whole thing and fall in love all over again. You STILL give them money. You STILL send them love letters.

Basic behaviorism works people. You do NOT reward bad behavior. If they keep screwing up, sticking a knife in our backs, keep spitting on their oaths, on the Constitution then the proper response is NOT to shrug and say “Oh well. Want more money Sugar? Do me again!” What I want is consistency (from all of you) and holding to certain minimal, simple standards. When they stick an icepick in you back, WITHOLD rewards. WITHOLD money. And do NOT assure them that no matter what you will STILL vote for them and keep them in their cush jobs with superb, lifelong healthcare benefits, posh salaries that go up faster than ANY normal American’s, and all sorts of other perks. They do NOT deserve it, they are servants…OUR servants…and it is well passed time they start acting appropriately. They peel OUR grapes, we don’t peel theirs.

i think feingold and whitehouse did what they could wrt fisa – and feingold has been fighting the good fight ever since dec 2005 when it the illegal warrentless wiretapping was first reported.

although i do tend to try (frequently without success) to avoid the good guys / bad guys labels.

Reality doesn’t care what you think, wish, dream for, believe, desire, etc. It is what it is and it is NOT what you are dreaming, wishing, desiring it to be. Reality is great exactly because it is real. You need to deal with it as it is or get pounded down again when your “knights” in the Dem party turn out to be not knights on great steeds come to rescue you, but rather sneaky bastards in the dark with a shiv all ready to shank you (again).
