So what happens in 10-15 years when all those quality majors and lieutenant commanders aren’t there to get promoted to the rank of general and admiral? As bad as the senior military leadership has been in general in the post-WWII period, does the retention problem now mean that it is now destined to get substantially worse? Are we going to end up privatizing those positions too?</p> Well, I’m curious.
