Thanks for this. Finally a form I can use to yentz my elected ‘representatives’ Mizz Foxx, Mrs. Dole and Herr Burr about their inattention to the real issues (the people they claim to represent), and their rapt attention to Bidness Interests who don’t live in NC, and all that fund-raising instead of representing.

Has anyone thought that this might have been done to enable CORPORATE spying? Since so many corporations now are operating globally, now have overseas divisions – and since (from many reports) over 70% of this surveillance is being done by outsourced contractors with little or no supervision of the details of what those contractors are doing – this is the biggest opportunity yet for insider trading as well as political spying with no consequences. What else did you expect?

I have e-mailed all the dems that i have supported moneterily and told them not to send me any begging letters or any info.They are just junk mail to me now.I will register as an independent now.We have to get the party back from these hacks.

I’ve been wondering why we aren’t actively seeking out primary challengers to DINO’s; are our resources stretched so thin that we can’t be hunting for legitimate Dems to replace the capitulators?

Or is it that such a campaign does exist, and I’m simply unaware of it?

pow wow – just wanted to let you know that i did see your comment and will do just as you suggest… but right now it’s after 5, so i don’t think i’m getting a call back today. will call again tomorrow midday, if i haven’t heard anything (and no one else has either). although by then we may have answer on the rules committee website.

i’m glad to know that Praedor A. is going to write a dkos diary – i was worried i might have to if no one else did (it should be some one who can actually write).

Oh, super, selise. Thank you for that! [I’m trailing behind here too.] This is very helpful. I’m going to copy your comment here to post at the end of the last thread to alert Praedor A. too who is writing (or has written) a DailyKos diary about this - so your info is just the ticket.

I’ll watch for your comments in later threads - and perhaps you could also post in the preceding thread if you learn anything definitive, so Praedor A. (hopefully) will see it too. Thanks again!

i’m way behind and now deep in epu land.

pow wow - i called the rules committee and was told that there was no meeting on saturday. then i called congressman mcgovern (vice-chair of the rules committee and my rep)’s office. the rules aide was not there, but i spoke to the aide who worked on fisa (jay) and was told that he thought the rules committee might have met but he wasn’t sure… he took my name an phone number and told me he’d ask the rules aide to call me back.

will look for you when i learn more (or if you are willing - email me at speakeasy dot net and i’ll let you know directly what i hear).
