Well now thats a fine thing,I spend the last few days between 700 B.C and 300 B.C. logon and find myself in the late 18th and early 19th century (The free republic a little spot in the redwoods?) as much as I am incline to agree. I must admit I am as confused as the guys that built a mock up of the turtle and were pulled over by “homeland” security.

SeamusD, I think you are partly right. Notice how the candidates are now skipping Ykos? Good excuse, eh, to not go where they didn’t want to go in the first place, you can bet your ass. OTOH, a lot of threats have been made lately, from Lott, Chertoff, Santorum, all warning something is coming down the pike right at Congress. Shades of Anthrax scare to get them in line.

Does anyone else think that it is more than a coincidence that this is happening at the same time that most liberal bloggers are away from their home bases and cut off from their readers. This whole deal stinks. I think that the PTB, (including the Dem leadership) in their secret meetings, took advantage of of this to cut a deal. Pass this FISA amendment quick and then get the hell out of Dodge before the DFH’s can get back to their keyboards. And it appears to be working.
Or am I just more paranoid than usual?
