“They banded together at AEI headquarters in downtown Washington early last December and hammered out the surge plan during a weekend session. . . . Then came trips to the White House by AEI military historian Frederick Kagan, retired Army Gen. John Keane and other surge proponents.

“More and more officials began attending the sessions. The place where it would hurt is where people would be outraged and personally insulted by Bill’ D’O’s disparaging comments on people who are not White enough for him.

And that would be in Applebee’s FOREIGN FRANCHISES.

Imagine if Bil’Do’s racist anti-Mexican statements appeared on posters outside the 20-something Mexican franchises of Applebee’s.

Or if his hateful anti-Arab and anti-Muslim comments were on placards outside of Applebee’s in Cairo (Egypt), Amman (Jordan), Kuwait, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia.

Applebee’s has franchises in Greece, Italy, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Honduras, and many other spots which O’Reilly regularly disrespects with his anti-foreign vitriol.

That’s the Achilles heel.

You remind me of an email I sent them upon my return from Poland in 01, where they seemed to be all over satellite TV. I told them they had given new life to dumb blond jokes.* They emailed me back that they were aware of a great deal of illegal use of satellite Faux in Europe. Blew my mind!

Did anyone else get a bogus notice from AT&T saying they had requested a service that had not been requested? I got one saying I wanted 900 numbers removed and my bill was going up $11. per month. It was impossible to reach anyone by phone so I sent a letter. Got a call tonight, and they wanted a secret 3 digit # that did not appear on my bill. Finally got hooked with someone and discontinued my land line. What a freaking job! Told them I didn’t want to pay to be spied upon.

Yeah, we’re so close. The only one who doesn’t have a cell is the nine year old and that can’t last long. But the Vonage land line gives the schools a number to call and leave automated messages. And, it is registered with your local 911 service — that’s kinda nice.

How about accepting the challenge O’Reilly gave to the Clinton spokesman he was talking to abiyt the scheduled Yearly Kos attendance of Clinton. The Clintonista said O’R’s guests had equally objectionable (as compared to O’Reilly’s Daily Kos examples). Bill denied it and issued a challenge to prove it, and then signed off pointing both index fingers at the camera and getting in the last word, ‘hate site.’ I’m not the one to do it, but if someone could just document a couple of examples, all we would have to do is repeat those examples endlessly whenever challenged by O’Reilly supporters. Seems like a low-overhead approach, that could be used in any convenient media appearance, or used by us in correspondence with Fox sponsors, too. Maybe Clinton has responded already?

What is going on in Central Texas? I thought I would go to Austin for a few days on my way to Dallas. Forget Austin. Rain 35 of the last 37 days. Drove to Dallas tonight and it was nice until I got to Texas and then the rain started. Harry Potter is great on audio while driving.

I have a friend that google mapped his house, and you can see his dad’s car in the driveway. And if you google map his old house, you see his dad’s same car in THAT driveway.

The google sat image of my mom’s house – where I’m staying for a couple of weeks – shows vehicles that were sold last year and the year before. The google sat definition for where I live in Alaska doesn’t even show our house as more than a blur.

I wish Leahey had, after he asked Abu if he would appoint a Special Prosecutor had said, “What about simply broadening the authority of the last one appointed by your predecessor, Mr. Comey? I’m sure that the majority of the Senate would approve that extension.”

Did anyone else get a bogus notice from AT&T saying they had requested a service that had not been requested? I got one saying I wanted 900 numbers removed and my bill was going up $11. per month. It was impossible to reach anyone by phone so I sent a letter. Got a call tonight, and they wanted a secret 3 digit # that did not appear on my bill. Finally got hooked with someone and discontinued my land line. What a freaking job! Told them I didn’t want to pay to be spied upon.

I got a really weird call from Sprint today trying to sell me a new phone, or something, today. It was hard to tell exactly what the call was for; probably just to activate my 24/7 mic and camera.

I had delayed a major research project until after the elections because I knew my activism would be important, and I stayed on-line right down to the wire. A few days after the election, Yahoo pulled their dicussion boards (I was a big part of this)… I posted many long hours in suppression of right wing crazies and sent not a few to the DoJ and FBI for promoting hate crimes, terror threats, etc. Yahoo hosted one of the most virulent wingnut communities I have ever seen anywhere, hardcore Fascists.
