For what it’s worth…I suggest not mocking geriatrics or those among us who still watch network news. Surely you are aware that there are some geriatics and/or Senior Citizens here on the Lake. Just a suggestion: anything that smacks of ridicule, condescension, or discrimation when it comes to the AARP crowd is, well, tacky or just not a good idea. ;)

I need to agree with this. No flame wars, no shrieking. But come on people, I have watched you flay people over the meaning behind macaca, behind cleavage, behind gay. You need to understand that when you tag this group, you tag lots of people who showed you that demonstrating in the streets sometimes can make a social revolution. Is Cindy part of the respirator set? I just attended a convention in DC for the wheelchair set, activists all, and I was damned impressed. I don’t like to think of progressives tapping away at their keyboards telling us to lighten up, dammit. I expect better here.

Someone “has something” on Pelosi. I’m just sayin. Or maybe it’s because if the president and vice president were impeached…..wouldn’t she then be the President? There’s nothing in the succession that says the party in power gets to appoint the new chief executive, is there? One of the lawyers? An answer?

Just another typical Democratic politician. What Americans seem to forget that the so called Democrats in America would be considered right of center in Europe while the Republicans would be considered ultra rightists. Pelosi is just being true to what she is at heart. No amount of bitching is going to change that. People that think that if they send letters it’s going to make a difference are delusional. People on the streets are what matter but then it’s so much easier to sit at a keyboard than to actually have to get off one’s ass.

There are no “little people” in this country. That’s another one the King wants us to fall for, but I think Thomas Jefferson answered our king 231 years ago. That we have allowed a “ruling class” to evolve is our fault, and something we must correct. And if our representitives won’t do it, then we must elect new representitives.

I had an enote back from our TX Sen. Kay Bailey H. who said they take opinions very seriously. She’s the one, as I recall, who also said that the Fitz and Libby matter, lying that is, was a technicality. I guess I don’t agree with her on much, you see. So, thanks for a good laugh.

Yeah, I got a letter from her on the USA firings: Clinton did it too! I immediately wrote back calling BS on that Rethug talking point and asked her why she felt she had to insult my intelligence by parroting rovian/RNC talking points when Reagan and Chimpy had done the same thing as Clinton.

I figure I’ll get another mealy mouthed response in about a month.
