thanks for the link… it’s not a source i’m familiar with, so i’ll have to check it out.

i have to say, that one of the reasons i stopped listening to NPR was their very bad coverage of israel and the occupied territories (anti-palestinian) – but i didn’t know how bad it was until i went and saw for myself. BBC did seem somewhat better – but i don’t listen/read consistently.

this is very important to do monitor NPR. NPR has been painted as a “liberal/Progressive” station. Yet if one listens closely it is just not so. Especially on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. The statements that will tilt their reports towares Israel are very subtle. Linda Gradstein took some flak several years ago, and actually shifted for a while, but she has gradually moved back to a strong slant in her reports.

Why is it that NPR does not have a Muslim or a neutral reporter like Julie McCarthy (who is now in south America reporting). Julie really reported from the middle east in a fair and balanced way, NPR needs another Julie reporting from that part of the world.

Odd how many who consider themselves Progressive or liberals go extreme right (wrong) on the I/P conflict.

Wish someone would do a research project on how many of NPR’s quest were from the American Enterprise Institute before the invasion of Iraq. Tilted?

Two questions:

1) Does censure only require a majority vote?

2) Can accumulated censures be used to create the pressure for the issuing of Articles of Impeachment?

I’d be listening to you today but unfortunately Air America has a transmitter so poor in NYC that it barely reaches past the George Washington Bridge. Maybe you could mention that to them for me.

Yes, I’ve liked Fisk in the past, but, ahem, how could any respectable “journalist” write about something he doesn’t know anything about, if your slack-giving excuse is accurate?

not completely disagreeing – it’s just that it’s one line that leads into a whole article about how the MSM sucks, so no wonder the bloggers are winning.

he’s a ME foreign correspondant – not a technology, pop culture,… or someother kind of reporter that should know “the google”.

no one in the english language in the blogosphere or out (that i know of) comes even close to his reporting – on speciallity. yeah. i cut him slack when he screws up – ‘cuz he barely ever does.
