How about anticipating the September assessment and hammering Repubs on the lack of political progress, and how you can have all the surge you want but until political strategies are coupled with the military planm there will be no end to the war. Dems needed to show how the Levin-Reid admendment pushes the political process forward. I thought Cantwell (D) did well in talking about the privatization of oil in Iraq; but other Dems fell short. In short, Reid is a poor leader.
