I knew we had been bombing Iraq for 10 years, I knew about a million people died because of the embargo on Iraq. I knew Iraq was a little larger than Texas. I spent a year at the Harvard GSD ostensibly to learn about architecture. I came away thinking that those who Can, Do. Those who Can’t, Teach. And those who Can’t Teach teach at Harvard.

I chose to go to seminary at Andover Newton and turned Harvard down.

Bush is apparently not a very bright guy. He once served on the board for a subsidiary of Poppas corporation—the CEO agreed to have him after some gooper said- “this kid really needs a job” The CEO took him aside after a few years and said- “Look- you come here for every meeting- but in two years you haven’t learned ANYTHING about who we are or what we do- all you do is come to the meetings and tell a bunch of dirty jokes- I think you should leave”- and he did.

I read that, and take issue with one point.
Whichever hawkish frontrunner wins the nomination will suddenly “see the light” in plenty of time for the general election. He will know he needs independents. What remains to be seen is how serious he is in his new stance. The only way to find that out, though, is if he wins the presidency. I, for one, do not want to see how serious he is.

OMG…I just saw a clip of bush walking up the ramp onto Airforce One on KO. I swear, he is talking to himself as he walks up the ramp. Talking to himself!!!

I am almost sure presidents are wired with a live connection to their Secret Service security detail. He may have been talking to them.

I don’t think very much can be read into this particular incident, but there is little doubt that Bush is mentally challenged in more ways than one.

He got into Yale and Harvard only because his name is Bush. (The nice name they have for this is “legacy admission.”) And who knows what havoc booze and coke wreaked on his synapses.

At the same time, his ability to survive politically is possible only if he was also very clever at assessing people, especially how he can use them, and subsume them to his bullying will, of which he has an abundance.

It is said that Bush has no brain of his own, that Rove and Cheney do his thinking, but the bottom line is that they work for him, not the other way around.

He ain’t smart, but he’s no dummy. His biggest secret to success is to make people underestimate him.

Is he incompetent? Yes, as a president he is supremely incompetent. But as a manipulator of people, they don’t come any smarter.

That is our president.
