HUGE PRECONDITIONS TO WITHDRAWL, including reorganization of the Iraqi troops and oil industry; more Iraqi brigades; and security on the ground.

… the legislation spells out the following preconditions to withdrawing US troops:

1. A massive list of suggested policies need to first be accomplished before the US withdraws. These include transferring the Iraqi National Police to the Ministry of Defense, reorganizing the Iraqi security forces, upgrading Iraq’s police communications equipment, establishing courts, training judges, prosecutors and investigators, drafting oil legislation, implementing metering at the oil pipelines, reorganizing the entire Iraqi oil industry, and more. But that’s not all that has to happen before our troops are permitted to withdraw from Iraq. Oh no. Read on.

2. Additional Iraqi brigades need to deployed. Meaning, the exact same policy we have now under George Bush. No withdraw until the Iraqi security forces are up to par. And our military people on the ground in Iraq say this could take 40 to 50 years, if ever.

3. The eventual withdrawal of US forces is “subject to unexpected development in the security situation on the ground.” Meaning, if things don’t get better, we don’t leave. That’s the current policy. And things aren’t getting better.

The legislation then says that if ALL of those things I listed above are met, THEN we can possibly consider to maybe redeploy some of the troops next spring, 2008.

With the wheels coming off in Iraq, by the DAY, the warpimps are finding their inner “bipartisan” selves.

Shorter repubs-to-dems:

“The Turks have massed 140,000 troops and a shitload of Armor on their border with northern Iraq. Will you guys, pleasegod, help us cobble up some ass-covering legislation.?”

Two sentences from the NY Times half-page op-ed piece yesterday:

“It is frightening clear that Mr. Bush’s plan is to stay the course as long as he is president, and dump the mess on his successor.
Whatever his cause was, it is lost.”

And every day, a few more republican rats head for the gangplank.

Are Pelosi and Reid going to say:

“Oh, don’t worry, everyone. They just wanted to go for a stroll on the land.”?

I hope not. I hope they tell them to go piss up a rope.

“Lissen, you assholes; george bush and you CREATED this misery. You need to do TWO thing, and that’s get out in front of the calls to start bringing the troops home NOW, and put YOUR names on legislation to force YOUR president to do it.

Watching a thing on 60 min.s about Social Security, and medicare.

That was ridiculous how little play to the real issues like the rape of the economy by BushCo’s tax plans, war plans and general corruption and how much of a focus there was on how were going to spend too much on Medicare and Social Security.

We would be in half way decent shape if we didn’t have a corrupt regime in power. We are now facing the same fate and the third world cleptocracies of the 90’s.

Kago X is proposing that if Bush’s former staffers don’t testify after being subpoena’d, that Bush be cited for contempt of Congress.

That’s where we started with Nixon: contempt of Congress. Just, this time, no pardons, please. Throw the $%^&*s in jail instead.
