Of course knowing the full context of what she said won’t make any difference to brain dead commies!!

Sicko Chris Matthews was looking for ratings to boost his failing show. But he succeeded in manipulating a coup for the rest of us. John Q Public was exposed to the meltdown of Ann Coulter and the bravery of Elizabeth Edwards to smite her with class. Coulter was revealed as a witch with a broken broom. Subsequent play on Scarborough and on the net have delt Coulter a blow from which she may never recover. About time.

Someone once told me that you know you’re getting old when you start getting up earlier than you USED to go to bed.

Ah well…

There’s someone who posts in my politics and religion chatroom who reminds me a lot of Coulter, and oh yes, he does get tiresome. I’ve considered banning him just to keep him from wasting space (we have post limits), but then I think, the more he posts, the more sane people will realize how irrelevant he really is. So, I just let the little wingnut spin.

On the level of political and social discourse that is needed to bring this country back around to what it once was, Ann Coulter and her ilk are irrelevant, and deep down, they know it. That’s why Coulter is so determined to talk over anyone who tries to engage her in conversation. She uses volume (in the sense of both quantity of words and loudness) to assault anyone who disagrees with her, and she constantly shifts the topic, so it’s like batting a flies - the old “if you can’t dazzle ‘em with brilliance, baffle ‘em with bullshit” method. The twisted part is, she thinks her nasty remarks are clever and sexy. She punctuates her hatefulness with constantly tossing and touching her hair - she’s flirting with the audience, but it also indicates a nervous tic, noticeable particularly when someone else is gaining the upper hand. The sad part is, there will always be people who thrive on her kind of hate. Our job is to keep them irrelevant, to keep them out of the way so we can get things done.

BTW, darkblack, that image is priceless - first time I think I’ve ever seen the Queen of Mean wearing anything except a black cocktail dress. (Does anyone besides me think she’ll still be wearing the same little black dress when she’s seventy or eighty? Okay, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little….)

Ah well, bottom of the thread and all, so much for my undercaffeinated ramblings. Y’all have a good one.
