I loved this post. I was especially interested in the story of Ryan Bowker. Given his interest in becoming an RN, I would direct him to apply to Berea College, in Berea, KY (my alma mater). Not only do they have one of the top nursing programs in the country, they are a unique institution in that it was one of the first colleges to offer and education to women, African-Americans, and those who would otherwise have no opportunity to obtain a college eductation.

Students a Berea do not pay tuition, only room and board. It is a work study program, but Berea offers a wonderful liberal arts program, in addition to being one of the bastions of tolerance in the midst of a very red state. It also has a large LGBT community where Ryan would easily find acceptance, along witha good education.

AK on Part 3: It says flatly that Dick Cheney made the President throw out the capital gains tax cuts. That is the kiss of death to the republican money crowd. To them, this is the equivalent of saying he arranged for hillary clinton to be president for life. Oh, I’m going to love this one…

and it proves NO ONE has a line on this story. As I reported earlier, rums from “knowledgeable insiders” was the piece three was on energy and four on pre-war intel. Wrong-O Mary Lou!

Okay, i’ve got: rational scissors, MSM decoder box, Fox News Decoder Ring (from Wingnut Crunches with Chinese Melamine Sugar), brain bleach, yep I’m ready. Off to the heart of Darthest Cheneyfrica!

That is correct. Natural or native born. It is why folks like Henry Kissinger or Ahnald Schwarsnegger can NOT run for president.

It was another of those great ideas from the founders of the Republic who had concerns about where people’s allegiance would lie.

The Repugs are trying to change this, because of people like Kissinger and Schwarznegger. Another Republican plan to corrupt our Constitution.

Believe it or not, there’s an extensive Wikipedia entry on it. Did anyone know John McCain was born in PANAMA?

McCain’s father was an officer in the US Navy. Probably was in the Canal Zone, US property at the time. Dependents born overseas are considered natural born for presidential qualifications.

I figured it was something like that. But it interests me that, in a time when the MSM feels that it has to run hour long special reports on John Edwards’ haircuts, that nobody bothers to point out this little gem. Perhaps because the red-meat Rethug voter would say, “PA-NA-MAW! Ain’t that where NOR-EE-AYGA was? Damn, McCain’s a drug dealer! Can’t vote fer him!”

You watch. It will happen. :>

I had to chuckle, though, at the description of Carol Stream IL as “rural.” To me, CS is a suburb/exurb of Chicago. Rural IL to me is the 3 traffic light towns found downstate.
