Michelle’s wants us to peel the onion. To see that these are good people. Really, they are. It doesn’t seem like it, but they care. It’s sort like a battered wife defending her abusive spouse. And it seems Michelle also thinks that slapping people around and threatening annihilation demonstrates compassion and humanity. Go figure.

And if that weren’t bad enough, my reading on the plane coming back tonight included Sy Hersh’s New Yorker article on the shit-canning of the Abu Ghraib investigation, and Scott Horton’s Harper’s article on the Bushite assault in the rule of law.

Still haven’t gotten to the Supreme Court opinion in Freedom From Religion. Can’t hardly wait.

That analysis on Jeffords sounds a tad funky. It makes it sound as if that was the desired outcome. It was Cheney being a big Dick and letting the consequences be damned.

Jeffords was no sock puppet and he was literally shunned by the Whitehouse and most of the Republicans as a result of his switch.
