How about one honoring the person most responsible for his getting sent up, the person Libby has been protecting by perjuring himself and lying to federal prosecutors?

A tattoo on Libby’s chest, maybe, of a heart with the words “I LOVE DICK_cheney” or just a basic tattoo stating “I”D DO ANYTHING FOR DICK_cheney,” including going to jail with these tattoos on oneself.

Aw, c’mon, Scooter. You’ll need tattoos where you’re going, just to identify to which gang you belong. In your case, the DICK_cheney gang. Scooter, this could be very lonely for you, the only member of the DICK_cheney gang behind bars, so I’d suggest also that you beg some of your co-conspirators in the White House to ‘fess up to the feds so they can join you, get the same type of tattoos and keep you company.

I don’t understand how anyone here can say it is a “good day” for our country or that they are proud to be an American when Libby will only spend 2 years (if he isn’t pardoned) in the slammer and his superiors remain untouched. This isn’t a good day for democracy – nothing here is set in stone.

While competing on an episode of a “Gang War Gladiators” TV reality show, Ruly “lawn-order” Giuly raps out, “I know law so cut Weasel loose cause there aint no crime, the prosecutor is crazy, the jury is stupid and the judge is a fool.” Following up, Ruly chants another familiar rap, “I know evil so make me boss cause you are scared crazy stupid fools and I will make you think you safe.”

The Weasel isn’t a rat, so the judge orders him to the cage until he eats a cheese sandwich. Now, all gangland screams out for the reigning supreme ganglord to be decider.

This is the bittersweet part of sentencing for me — I never find it satisfying to send someone to prison, even the ones who really, really deserve it. There is something truly depressing about having to incarcerate another human being.

At the same time, Libby’s conduct deserves punishment, just as any other person convicted of multiple felonies deserves punishment. And the fact that he is an attorney, that he was a public official, and that he flouted the rule of law so blatantly with his conduct requires incarceration in my mind.

Incarceration is too expensive. 10 years of community service, in the yet unrepaired neighborhoods of New Orleans, full time working on a garbage truck during the graveyard shift is where this phony belongs. Libby has cost how many millions of dollars with his trial? Restitution for a phony and self serving existence is the remedy here.

Bush “cares” about Libby because Libby was an accomplice to Bush’s crimes, and we know how crime families work.
