Sometimes there just isn’t thing to say and we wait quietly and see events unfold. It’s time to relax, sip a lemonade and wait. Not everything can be rushed or solved by throwing more manpower at it. Sometimes patience is best.

As you’ve said on a number of occasions, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Consolidating that progressive core of our population (thank God we still have it) is going to take time and lots of effort and lots of anguish, because it won’t happen all at once. We all have our work cut out.

And some in the HHS are advocating only a three day to two week supply. Please pass the word because this is going to happen – any time now. And there is absolutely no real preparation going on in the way of food, water supply, medication stockpiles – anything.

Building up your immune system as you increase your food supply in increments may help also.

Consolidating control of the US House is the key to a progressive future. The presidential race is more like American Idol than it is like many, many House races, and the Senate, well – it is innately a VERY conservative institution, but it comes next.

Any effort spent on House races will pay far bigger dividends than any other national political races.

Great post Christy! Thank you for blogging about this report. I think that report is what MSM news outlets need to understand if they are ever going to turn around their dwindling viewership and readers. I don’t go to MSM news sources anymore because I don’t find their information or perspectives relevant. I bet a lot of other people feel that way too. Why would anyone continue to look for information they know exists in places they can’t find that information? People aren’t that dumb! That’s why FDL is a daily stop for me. Thank you for writing about issues I care about in a way that takes the subject matter very seriously.

You know, a journalism prof I know from a very prestigious U has commented many times about the difference in her students. I know this bias isn’t new, but she can spot the ones who will pursue print vs. TV fairly easily. The print students are better writers and work harder. The b/c students will get better pay ;)
