“The question before the house is this: should the United States exhaust itself militarily, economically, and psychologically in order to ensure indefinite Israeli domination of the Middle East? To the Israel Lobby, this is a no-brainer: of course it should. Anything less than unconditional support for Israel’s strategic objectives would be anti-Semitic and “hateful.”

She denies ever threatening employees.

Well, that appears to be a pretty good case of perjury.

She doesn’t have to threaten directly. The record indicates affirmative bias.

Now if we could compare the persons stated as not worthy of promotion, review the internal disciplinary list, and add her bias statements to the policy we can match an affirmative review, perhaps even of classic discrimination.

Keep in mind these statements are predisposed bias, not the accepted definition of prejudice as we know but even more concrete an affirmative illegal example of bad behavior…

The RealPlayer link for the Spakovsky et al Hearing at the committee on rules and administration site is really shaky. Wish there was CSPAN link.

DiFi reading letter on how Spakovsky corrupted practices. Apparently a litany. Why should we put *you* in charge of FEC?
Spak: Many of the things in those letters were frankly wrong, Senator. I don’t know why these people are making those claims. Probably political agenda.
DiFi: There’s a real strong reaction against you (letters). Really. A real problem on the Democrat side.
Spak: Texas, etc. Arguing that the courts that overturned his decisions, didn’t *really * overturn his decisions.
DiFi: Neverless they were overturned. Wants a point by point rebuttal *in writing.*
Spak: OK.

I don’t think the repubs care a whit about doing anything except filibursting the hearing till it’s overdonegone.

I think the word you’re reaching for here is:

              filibuster

actually, no. i said what i meant.

they’re not just filibustering.

they’re trying to burst the seams of this hearing and cause a food-fight.

thanks for the attempt to help, tho.
