Who is “the Chief”?

good morning in germany! why is rove allowed to stonewall? are the white house lawyers that good or is only one group acting legally?

It’s the natural order of things in this sort of warfare.

First all the serfs and hirelings- mercenaries- in leather armor with wooden shields charge and must be slaughtered. Then the armored riders- lesser top officials- attack and must be shot down or beaten and thrown from their horses.

Then the opponent leaders flee into the castle and raise the drawbridge named ‘Executive Privilege’. The situation gets simpler with that- it means that they have no power to attack anymore and are suspected by all of the criminality that has been proposed. Which means the big battering ram- Going to Court- gets taken to the wall of the castle.

The endgame is all about getting into public record the undeniable evidence that convicts of lawbreaking at the highest levels. You expect it can be obtained in the middle of the game, but the game is all about hiding it. (I suspect the various RNC email server contents will be that evidence- that’s where Rove, DoJ, RNC, and the past four national Republican and state level Republican election campaigns intersect.)

At the moment we are still in the phase of having to club a few remaining foot soldiers in the open field (i.e. Goodling, Griffin, Paulose) and fighting down their remaining, mostly wounded, riders (i.e. Sampson, McNulty, Taylor, Schlozman, von Spakowsky). Rove and the RNC emails simply won’t happen before the election fraud schemes and machinery and underlying set of crimes are adequately defined.

I tend to agree w/above comment that Leahy is loading up his gun. Just remember that He was the guy that got told by cheney to “go fuck yourself”. Revenge will be sweeter and sweeter for Sen Leahy.

We’re not looking for ‘revenge’. Justice is where it’s at!
Discovering the Truth, so government can be based on reality and finding a way forward from that, not from fantasy, is essential. Revenge is personal and far beneath a government such as ours.
