Yes Kassandra, they were all falling over themselves saying Libby was getting a raw deal and ought to be freed on appeal or pardoned, one of the more repulsive parts of the evening.

I expect I’m in the minority here, but it seems to me Romney and Giuliani did better tonight than any of the Democrats did in their debate. They appeared calm, in control, and showed that they had thought through their positions, whether you agreed with them or not. I think McCain looked old and that his time had passed, I don’t think he’s a viable candidate.

Romney and Giuliani are polished politicians, and that was obvious throughout the debate. I’m not going to go so far as to agree that they performed better than any democrat did Sunday evening, but they were on par with most of the democratic participants.

On the whole, I do think the democratic debate was a lot more substantial than the one we witnessed this evening. If we could have excluded Kucinich and Gravel, neither of whom said anything insightful or constructive, then there’d be absolutely no question.
