Feist!!!
So who do people think won the debate?
YES ~ ‘And You And I’
Geez, he spelled it out for ya’ll MIDNIGHT snack :)
nice pick-up, JKc
A little christening gift for our new thread.
I’ll answer my own question. It is way too early for me to worry about it. I haven’t watched a single one yet. Taking the Al Gore approached I guess. ;-)
Suzanne, what can I say — a bit slow on the uptake, have been up since 0430 ;-)
CTuttle @ 4
Hey Buddy, was just about to ask where you were !!!
ouch, LL. I’ve pulled shifts like that and they are hard. I’ve been so tired that I could not sleep too many times to count.
Joe Klein’s conscience @ 6
“Who won? Who knows. The gasbags are calling it for Hillary Clinton, and she did do very well. But I thought they all did!” -Digby, and I concur!!!
Suzanne, today at one point at work (while it was slow) I swear I fell asleep for about 30 seconds…strange feeling!
Hey, CT
A little Junior and Buddy to liven up your night.
Suzanne @ 13

Crying in my Beer!!! A-Rod’s solo jack in the ninth, cost the Sox the series!!! However, Ottawa, won their must win game and have a shot at tying it!!! *g*
I’m sure there were folks who cheered when this particular bitch with a badge retired, Felix.
Was anyone else also pleased to see ALL the Democratic PrezCandis raise their hand when Wolfie asked if they’d get Don’tAskDon’tTell repealed as President?
Don’t you want to know why they won’t do something about it now? Two good people are being railroaded outta all branches of the service every day– good people whose skills we need badly. SLDN
Suzanne @ 16
Evening, Ma’am!!! :O
Frank Probst @ 19
Tune in tomorrow — we’re all over that banality
Poor lil debbie. working in the busy complaints department.
Suzanne @ 21
but here, we love ya!!
That’s because I haven’t towed anyone’s car here.
Suzanne, I’m starting to get cranky and outspoken at work. Is that typical of LE folks with retirement on the horizon?
Felix Moronia @ 26
Oh so true!!! But, which 50% showed up tonite??? *g*
TeddySanFran @ 22
That policy really is the height of stupidity. At a time when the services are scraping the bottom of the barrel to find recruits they are turning highly qualified men and women away. They used the same rationales to avoid racially integrating the the armed forces and to letting women serve with men (that last has not always worked as well as hoped, but…).
CTuttle @ 20
Ottawa finally woke up … that extended layover after the Buffalo series threw their rhythm off. Why the NHL had to wait a week to start the Finals, I’ll never know. Bettman The Great …
Not to worry about your BoSox, they will have enough opportunity to rub the Yankees’ noses in it before October rolls around.
I have been away from the Toobz and TV for three days. I enjoyed the peace and quiet, but what did I miss?
LoudounLib @ 28
Yep. Shortimer’s disease. Apply pension liberally to reduce symptoms.

Lots more dead in Iraq (14 American so far this month)
Steve Gilliard passed away
neurophius @ 32
Nah…Bushco is still in power unfortunately, but there was a pretty cool Democratic candidate debate on Sunday night.
That’s the temporary bandaid, LL. Symptoms return and are many times made worse after application.
Suzanne (chuckling) — good thing I’ve got lots of accrued leave!
TeddySanFran @ 22
I want someone to ask the Republican candidates that question! When the Republicans “explain” why they are for “don’t ask don’t tell” I want someone to say “we
tried it your way for the last 6 ? years and we still haven’t won the war against A THIRD WORLD NATION! Maybe its time we try something else”

Only thing worse than a cranky cop is a cranky dispatcher, LL. Been on the receiving end of that more times than I care to mention :)
I’m watching reruns of the debate now. I think we have a great candidate pool to draw from, and I would have no problem voting for any of them as Democratic nominee. Not that I’m excited about Joe Biden or anything, but what a difference a Democratic administration will make.
Two Minnesotans walk into a pet shop near Duluth. They head to the bird
section and Sven says to Ole, “Dat’s dem.” The owner comes over and asks if
he can help them.
“Yah sure, ve’ll take four of dem dere little budgies in dat cage up dere.”
says Sven.
The owner puts the budgies in a paper bag. Ole and Sven pays for the birds,
leave the shop and get into Sven’s pick-up and drive to the top of some big
cliffs near Two Harbors.
At the cliffs, Sven looks down at the 1000 foot drop and says, “Dis looks
like a grand place.” He takes two birds out of the bag, puts them on his
shoulders and jumps off th e cliff.
Ole watches as Sven falls all the way to the bottom, killing himself dead.
Looking down at the remains of his best pal, Ole shakes his head and says:
“By yumpin’ yiminy, dis budgie jumping is too dangerous for me.”
VAIT! Dere’s MORE!

I have to ask, why would gays and lesbians want to fight for a country that does not respect them as equal citizens?
TeddySanFran @ 22
TSF, aside from the absurd raise your hand
polling technique, yes, it’s about time the
reality set in.
at last, “get over yourselves” might actually take hold.
Moments later Knute who’s been to the pet shop too, arrives at the cliffs.
He walks up to the edge of the cliff carrying another paper bag and a
shotgun.
“Hey, Ole. Vatch dis.” Knute says. He takes a parrot from the bag and throws
himself over the edge of the cliff. Ole watches as half way down, Knute
takes the gun and shoots the parrot and continues to plummet down and down
until he hits the bottom and breaks every bone in his body.
Ole shakes his head and says,”And I’m never trying dat parrotshooting
either.”
BUT VAIT! Dere’s MORE, you betcha!
Suzanne @ 43
I had to apologize a couple of times Sunday afternoon to some poor unsuspecting officers ;-)
neurophius @ 44
I agree with you. ANY of tonight’s debaters would be a vast, vast improvement over the past 6 yrs.
Suzanne @ 45
Ooooo, is it joke- telling time ? … rubs hands gleefully …
Ole is just getting over the shock of losing two friends when Lars appears.
He’s also been to the pet shop and is carrying a paper bag and pulls out a
chicken. Lars grasps the chicken by the legs, holds it over his head, and
hurls himself off the cliff and disappears down and down and hits a rock and lays there lifeless. Once more Ole shakes his head….
“First der was Sven with his budgie jumping, den Knute parrotshooting., …and now Lars hengliding…..”

==Well most of you know I am a Marine Mom, Ive been haveing some bad feelings for the past 4 weeks now. At one point in this 4 weeks I was told by a friend they talked to my son, He is overseas right now, In Anbar Province. He talked to them because he is a Viet Nam Vet and he felt he could talk honestly to this man, Which he did and he could at anytime.
Well he told this man that he was injured again, Appearently on March 27th,07, There was a RPG that blew up a Humvee where he was standing by, and he saw it coming and ran, He heard someone calling him and he turned to see, and he was hit in the face and chest with shrapnel from the Humvee.
There has been alot of this happening and I know that most of you have been thru this type of thing. My son recieved many injuries to his ribs and face near his left eye, he also had a piece of shrapnel severe his left ventricle in his heart, but do to the Lung being injured they immediately worked on fixing the lung and then the heart and face. My son was not issued a Flak Jacket, and many of the guys from his unit have not been issued one either, They two are KIA. His unit has lost 20 men and they had 27 in his unit.
My son is in a hospital recovering from his injuries and the Cmdr of his unit came in and asked if he was ready to go back to the feild, Of course my son being the good Marine replied with, Yes Sir. My son is saposed to be headed back to Lejeune Naval Hospital in 2 weeks, But the CMDR told him he has order to go back into the feild in 1 week. He just had Major open heart surgery, he has no vision at this time in the left eye, and they want him back into the field?
My son is freaking out because of this. The Dr told my son he is Not going back to the field not with them injuried, and He cant lift anything heavy as to the surgery he has had.
My son was injured back in Nov, 06 when he had to kill a child because of a bomb straped on him and headed towards him and his unit. My son recieved injuries to his legs, with shrapnel at that time, and Big gashes in his legs,They got infected at that time, and now they are healing, and now this.
Im angry that they want to send him back to the field, and Im even angrier that they have no flak jackets, to protect them. Ive heard about 5 soldiers already headed back to the field after injuries, some life threatning to. Is the military that despreat that have to send injured soldiers back out to fight? I dont have any clue as to why? Maybe some of you can enlighten me as to why?
Do the families of these soldiers have to defend there soldier at all cost? Do we have to sit back and do nothing while our soldiers are being hurt and killed and maimed? I cant do this. I need to get the word out what is going on. I know that there are just a few soldiers who have been thru this, and What can I do to help them and my son at the sametime?
Ive contacted my congressmen about the flak Jackets, he said not all our soldiers have a flak jacket there few and far in between. Our soldiers are fight a war, and dont have the issues military gear to do this with. Thanks for listening to me vent. God bless, and Help with this will be appreciated.

The Forest Protection movement has done it successfully for years.
Megacorps hate and fear it, so their servants spin all manner of threats about this effective weapon.

yes ma’am!
Still halfway listening to the debate rerun…
OK, there are qualities I like about Edwards, Obama, Richardson, and Dodd…and, on a certain level, even Kucinich and Gravel!!–but I will not be upset if Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton is our nominee.
I wonder how many other Democrats are thinking similar thoughts about now.
So, Tex, got any other snacks hidden in that stetson?

It’s sort of been my opinion that this election will boil down to Hillary or not-Hillary. In that sense, any of the other candidates are running as the not-Hillary, and fighting for that position.
I, on the other hand, am holding out for Gore.
Mommybrain – I saw G3 in SF a couple of years ago – excellent! Joe looks like a ninja turtle who threw off his shell and grabbed a guitar!
DrDick – Eric can play! Reminds me of Michael Power of the house band at New York’s Terra Blues Club.
Unfortunate that they didn’t get into testicle crushing- that always wakes people up.
nite, tex, sleep pain free :)
TexB,
That’s kind of why for years on political chats and debate forums, my name has been something other than Margot. I went to a Christian chat room (back when I was attending a fundie church, don’t ask) and everyone immediately said, “Oh, there’s a maggot in the room~!’
Ha. Ha. Like I hadn’t heard that a million times in my life!
But now I just say the hell with them.
Darn, I’m too slow at posting.

it’s a great story nonetheless, and i’m sure TexB will check back on this thread.
and with that, i exit, stage left, pursued by a bear
g’nite all
g’nite teddy and bear.
Suzanne @ 125
Hey, I didn’t hear any Testicle-Crushing in the last R debate, maybe Wolfie can spare a few for the Repugs, doesn’t he owe them???
CTuttle @ 124
I know they’re all good … just couldn’t suffer Wolf … and unless this is the newest reality show, I really do not see why they need debates so early in the year.
Frank Probst @ 34
Aack! Lurita Doan is “African American”??? She looks about as African American to me as Chelsea Clinton. At least, that’s what I remember from her first hearing before Waxman’s committee. However her pix online e.g. ThinkProgress, having been told she’s African American, enables me to “see” it somewhat. Commenter #31 on the ThinkProgress website asks, “How come she looks completely different in everyone of the pictures??”
Why does Novak even mention it??? OK, a Vassar article makes a big deal of her “black” lineage, but it sure comes as a surprise to me.
Bob in HI
TexB @ 128
Oh boy Kirk, haven’t you heard … “don’t mess with TexasBetsy”
Sorry, I was referring to how the rethuglicrooks seemed to be getting off on torture during their debate, not an actual statement.
Margot @ 121
Have a good friend who’s named Margot, (with a T) and she always rails against those who insist on spelling it without it. I’ve never heard her complaining about being called “maggot” but OTOH she’s not one to chat online.
Petrocelli @ 46
Good question ask any African American or Mexican why they serve?
Petrocelli @ 133
Sadly, when 72% of the Populace just wishes you were gone, these horse races tend to develop early, Eh??? ;)
Hi Suzanne!
even when I preview, I can’t find my typos.
sigh.
I’ve been thinking of friends in Oregon (nope – not just my friend who’ll be sentenced) and thinking of you and your wish.
I hope the showing went well.

Goodnight Teddy and Bear – bed well!
I wish Anderson Cooper would quit referring, deadpan, to George W. Bush’s Iraq War Perpetuation Supplemental Spending Bill With No Accountability as “the funding bill for the troops…”
Suzanne @ 136
Whew, I wouldn’t want to have to worry about my pair, per chance we cross paths!!! Cuffs, negotiable!!! ;-)
Loo Hoo. @ 129
This is really tragic and I hope everyone of you call your congresscritter and express your dismay.
They are also sending troops who have prosthetics back to Iraq, who is in charge ???
i rarely get feedback from a showing, km. i can only assume (geez, i dislike that word) in the absence of complaints that they went well.
i’ve been thinking a lot about oregon too. and washington. and alaska. and montana. and canada.
why limit to either or?
dadtPetrocelli @ 105
She was asked wehther DADT was the way to go, then asked whether she agreed with her husband’s take on this. She correctly said that Bill’s take on it was right at the time.
Suzanne @ 144
TexB @ 126,
Oh no, didn’t mean to imply that at all. I just mean anyplace I go, I now use my own name rather than a nom de net.
neurophius @ 146
Those are all great places, Suzanne.
And here I sit, with roots sunk deeply in KS.
But I can dream.
TexB @ 106
Suzanne is quick! TexB it is, then. And don’t anyone even think of abbreviating that!
Bob in HI
CTuttle @ 139
At what point do the 1- percenters call it a day – Dodd, Kucinich, etc.?
I got roots in KS – my dad was born in Arkansas City and I have two half-sisters in that immediate area along with lots of cousins.
Suzanne @ 151
I’m not saying it’s a bad place, and there are a lot of good people here, but I do love mountains and oceans…
things come undone @ 138
I agree that they and Indians also have issues … for teh gays, America does not allow them to marry or have children, at least some of the other “minorities” have managed to do well for themselves.
Petrocelli @ 105
Hillary hit pay dirt tonight. She’s got it.
Absolutely brilliant.
I agree, neuro. I need to be near water is one thing I have learned. But there is that whole snow thing. I dunno about that. Is one big reason why I was thinking Oregon coast area.
Petrocelli @ 150
One could hope Gravel would bow out, Dodd should persist, Kucinich, should also!!! I have a personal affinity for DK, having met him in person, however, I wish he would discard his Tin-Foil cap, every now and then!!! Sigh….
neurophius @ 141
Tell HIM, not us! And suggest that he call it the “Iraq Occupation Bill”. Maybe some of us can join you.
Bob in HI
Petrocelli @ 150
For what it’s worth, I think Dodd has shown himself in the last weeks to be a viable candidate. I think being one of the few people to speak out during the last Iraq war funding really helped his standing in the Progressive community.
Loo Hoo. @ 154
She is going to be judged harshly by people on both sides of the political aisle … which should make her stronger. Someone mentioned awhile back, that all things being equal, having to choose between a minority as President, it’s better to choose a white woman than a black man. I would agree, since a woman of any race faces more adversity than a man.
kristine @ 137,
I no longer chat online, but that was about the only thing I knew how to do computer-wise when we first got a computer, in 1999. Some of those political rooms on Yahoo were very rough. That’s when I first discovered there was a “liberal agenda” and no one ever gave me a copy!
kirk murphy @ 140
PS – leather or rope? … enquiring minds wanna know …

burnspbesq what exactly is illegal about my suggestion that I should worry about the SEC?
Margot @ 160
Oops, sorry. Forgot to send you a copy back then ;~)
Navn @ 71
It is a sick psycho manipulation by authority that takes advantage of the wounded soldier’s desire to deny the reality of their condition. It should be criminal. The doctor should be able to over-ride both soldier and commander if he thinks the soldier’s condition does not warrant active duty. Your anger is justified– I suggest using it to motivate constructive action, starting with your congressperson. Tell him or her what you told us. Make an appointment to see him/her next time he/she is in town. If s/he is not in town, find out who his/her local chief of staff is, and make an appointment with that person, bringing copies of the relevant documents to give to him/her. and while you’re at it, make an appointment to meet the Congressperson next time he/she is in town. And then keep bugging them until they do something.
I’m sorry to say it, but to this criminal administration, your son is cannon fodder for their military ambitions. We are all outraged by this, and we need to keep the pressure on Congress to stop this madness.
Your son needs a lot more than a flak jacket. He needs an immediate medical discharge.
Bob in HI
Loo Hoo. @ 166
I’ll piggyback, as an expat, I served Twenty and I’m proud of my Service!!! Capiche!!!
Loo Hoo. @ 166
I am honestly asking the question, there are Indians, Mexicans and African Americans who’ve managed to beat the odds and live The American Dream, but gays are not able to do so. Why do they serve? Perhaps I was framing it badly … hope this clears it up. CTuttle … a little help ..
(puttin on mod hat)
petro, that could have been worded less barbara bush. i understand what the point – that gays are not allowed to marry or have children whereas other minorites have. – wanna try again :)
ah petrocelli, we crossed in the tubes. thank you.
Petrocelli @ 164
I think the Judiciary Committee needs to hold a hearing on it, and vote it out to the floor. Then Pelosi has to agree to put it on the agenda. My Congresscritter says he’ll vote for the impeachment reso if it reaches the House floor.

Suzanne @ 173
… strangers in the night … *g*
Good evening all – I missed the arrest of a blogger at the debate – anyone we know?
Petrocelli @ 171
you framed a question bad it happens getting back to your point I think people African American, Mexican, Gay etc serve because they want to EARN the American dream through service and improve their current situation. I myself think just being born makes you eligible to be treated like everyone else and eligible for the American Dream, but I know some people think differnt than me and thats ok.

Suzanne @ 190

the Alterman incident:
Petrocelli @ 192
Wishing her well!!! Has her throat been cultured? Just a thought, you have the ‘coverage’!!! What is Ont’s Provincial Tax???
CTuttle @ 195
My wife took her to the Doc. … got some meds. The weather went from 36 degrees C to 16 in 24 hours – springtime in Canada … *g*
Ont. Prov. Tax is 8%.
punaise @ 194
That’s total B*llsh*t!!! Won’t even survive first appearance!!! Hello…!!!
CTuttle @ 197
Thanks punaise!
Petrocelli @ 196
What’s taken out at the register, in total??? 8% plus???
about time for this firepup to head off to bed herself. token, the cutest dog in the world, and i bid you g’nite.
Suzanne @ 200
G’nite Suz !!!
Suzanne @ 200
G’nite, Ma Cheri!!! :)
CTuttle @ 199
8 % Prov. Tax
6 % G.S.T
On July 1st, I believe GST will go down to 5%.
Harper is Bush- lite. The GST is great because it taxes the people who spend the most – the rich. He is in effect giving the rich a tax cut … and no one is bitchin’ about it.
thanks, petro and ct. ct, i left a little nugget in the last thread i think you missed. and no, i won’t cuff you.
Gorgeous up here in southcentral Alaska today. Rebuilt my driveway with my neighbor’s Bobcat and my landscaping rake. Ms. ET and ET, Jr. took the dog Strider hiking up Hatcher Pass and up the Butte. I continued grounds maintenance all day. Then we all went out on the lake just before sunset to watch the birds, listen for the frogs and soak in the sun. Finally, some kick-butt weather!
But I hate every goddam fucking minute of this GDF war!!
CTuttle @ 202
Am off to bed too – sweet dreams Suzanne and token and all you firepups. See ya all at Scooter’s sentencing if not sooner.
Petrocelli @ 203
Sounds wickedly familiar!!!
Ed*ard Teller @ 205
i share your anguish … my nephew is over in Iraq and I cringe everytime I hear of a casualty … for all our boys and girls.
newspaperbrat @ 206
Nite NPB … will definitely try to be here on Tuesday.
Suzanne @ 204
Aww shucks, what do I have to do??? *g* Nite, Ma’am!!!
Petrocelli @ 209
Ditto!!!
CTuttle @ 207
Had Martin remained in power, we would have Universal Day Care … something that is more important than most Canadians realize. That and a more aggressive drug treatment policy. The sad thing is, he will probably be in power for another year.
burnspbesq @ 162
Please enjoy the following. I left it for you downthread.
SLAPP suits and criminal threats for legal boycotts are old news for Furest Defenders
But intimidating if taken at face value.
Where’s the enforcement?
I deliberately and knowingly participated simply by re-posting.
You say criminal enforcement from two Federal jurisdictions follows?
Turn me in.
You’re an “esq” – as in lawyer?
No? Yes?
You’re an Officer of the Court?
Yes?
I’ve just comitted the act you imply is a Federal crime. Your Code of Ethics require you to report my criminal violations of Federal law.
I’m waiting.
From downstairs:
Oh – Burns, the California Medical Board’s web site wil give you my mailing address for the subpoenas. Better yet, please send the investigators.
The upper 0.5% reward faithful service – but somehow I think you already know that.
Bully.
Burns – I’m in – I’m posting the idea on Indymedia.
When will you send the AUSAs?
I’m waiting.
Bully.
Now I’m going to spread the idea as far as I can.
Sleep well, Officer of the Court.
Do check in that Constitution from time to time
Maybe your future threats will be less risible.
Bully.
G’nite Suzanne, G’nite npb.
Sleep well :)
Petrocelli @ 212
You think a recall will happen??? I know it can be tenuous, but he’s already under the gun???
Hey Kirk, how’s it goin’, eh?
CTuttle @ 215
If Harper puts his BU**SH** environment policy to a vote in Parliament, I’m sure they Liberals and NDP will bring down his Govt., I’m not sure if he is going to do so. He would lose the election, but I doubt the Liberals would get a majority Govt., which makes for a lot of politicking.
Petrocelli really said “Eh,” eh? I thought that was a myth.
Petrocelli @ 217
Ahh, the finest attributes of a Parlimentary system shines forth!!!
Ed*ard Teller @ 218
Canucks say, “How’s it goin’, eh?”
Yanks say, “Hey, how’s it goin’?”
Myths or facts? Tonight on AC360 … *g*
Petrocelli, life is good ;)
How is life up there?
Know any friends in BC who wanna hire a shrink?
Ed*ard Teller @ 218
Negatory, it is embedded within the Psyche of all Canucks, and New Englanders, for that matter!!!
CTuttle @ 219
The Neocons know how to disrupt a parliamentary system … he had a free vote on removing the right of gays to marriage, etc. Now, I’m sure his evangelical friends will target the vulnerable Liberals and NDP who voted NAY in the next election. I’m hoping they can bring down his Govt. with this environment issue … it is important enough to keep him out of power for a while, until the Liberals can build a majority.
Furest, Forest, I can’t type for shit.
Love me them megacorp boycotts, though.
Umm hmm.
Big whup ass bowl of First Amendement with every non-purchase.
kirk murphy @ 221
Dude, you won’t have any problems finding work up here … although we don’t have nearly as many nutjobs as you do … *g*
…and by that, I mean the Neocons …
Petrocelli @ 223
Especially when they lost it on pure ethical behavior lapses!!!
CTuttle @ 226
To be fair, it wasn’t Martin’s fault … Chretien should have shouldered the burden but he was too busy protecting his legacy. Many Liberals were mad at Martin, for laying the blame at Chretien’s doorstep and worked against Martin.
Petrocelli @ 225
Granted, Dude, 25 mil. Canucks, 300 mil. Americans, the odds favor that!!! *g*
kirk murphy @ 224
Run, Forest, Run!!!
CTuttle @ 228
We’re closer to 30 Million … I was referring to patients V Doctors ratio … I have been hazy all night, like the weather … *g*
Petrocelli @ 230
My Bad, its been awhile…!!!
Petro, I hope you’re right (but the licensing issues sure seem like biggies on the BC govt web site…
[I can teach, treat ICU delirium, provide care with scant resources…
Hire me, Victoria MH]
but there’s this whole work permit/visa/license thing :{
[of course, a BC doc coming to CA would face the same barriers.
If any wanted to come]

late edit: CTuttle, I rather hoping the forests would stay put and the loggers would run… ;)
CTuttle @ 235
They are eagerly setting up a branch office up here – Dobson and his crew.
kirk murphy @ 232
what do you do to de- stress?
Petrocelli @ 225
All in all, we have a more lethal and virulent strain of Neocons run amok!!!
Hey CT … we’re in the Twilight Zone, I answered you at 233 before you commented at 235 …
Petrocelli @ 236
I went back to expand on your Neocon comment!!!
CTuttle @ 237
It’s 4 a.m. in Toronto.
G’nite CT, KM, Mods, everyone else …
cool!
I was sitting down by the lake, thinking a bit more on how I’m going to design the replacements for our floats, which are falling apart. The sun is down, but it won’t be dark until August. It has been chilly and damp until today, so it is fairly buggy, making the evenings a feast time for swallows and Little Brown bats.
I was watching three bats cruise erratically up and down, back and forth, gobbling away at the insects, when about four or five swallows seemed to jump them. It was a great little battle for three or four minutes. I think the bats won, ’cause they were still hunting bugs in the same place when it was over. I’ve never seen that before – may never again.
I don’t think it’s possible to take pictures of things like that without really special equipment.
sup y’all
Petrocelli @ 233
I thought the same sentiments were felt in New Delhi, Madras, Calcutta, Hyderabad, etc…. *g*
Petrocelli @ 238
Nite, Mi Amigo!!! :O
Ed*ard Teller @ 239
heh, yeah, i have great fun watching bats cruise in the twilight :)
tw3k @ 243
That’s cool, the bats won!!! :)
I think they did. Just went back down the hill and they’re still there – no swallows. Maybe it was an argument at shift change, though, eh?
Good night, Petro!
ET – that sounds wonderful. Thank you.
Time to take my belfry off to bed.
G’nite, pups!
Smoke the megacorps with your freedoms while ‘ya got them!
PS Hi tw3k!
Bye tw3k!
Ed*ard Teller @ 245
Good one, 707!!!
kirk murphy @ 246
Alas, another one bite’s the dust! Nite, KM!!!
g’nite CTuttle. Sleep well!

and another thing
(from prior discussion on last thread now up here)
PS – The part above about the CA Med Board is a reflection of why I post and have done political/enviro activism under my name.
[This might seem unremearkable to those without EarthFirst! friends named Garlic, Orca, and Lichen.]
The false threats of criminal sanctions when we use our freedoms against the megacorps is an act of intimidation.
The point of citing the Med Board is to put the lie to the false threats.
Public ID with my legal advocacy affirms that boycotting megacorps with the stated intention of hurting sales to change corporate behavior is nothing to hide – it’s something to celebrate!
now I can go to sleep – tonight
Aloha Oe, Firepups, I’ll see ya on the flip side!!! *g*
The puppetmasters have decided: It will be 8 more years of a Clinton (proven loyalist to money interests). Followed by 8 more years of a Bush (Jeb).
Good morning, pups. It’s Kristof on escaping from North Korea and Krugman on Obama’s health plan today in the NYT.
http://mgpaquin.wordpress.com/
Coffee and tea are all ready, and the biscuits are hot out of the oven. We’re still reveling in the 5 inches of rain we got. My jasmine is rejuvenated.
Navn @ 71
I know this is EPU, get ye to your congresscritter ASAP, tell this story to them (or their staff), A wound to the heart will involve sutures, any stress to the heart may cause suture failure, potentially fatal until full healing is acheived. There is a commanding officer that should be answering court martial proceedings in over ruling a Physian’s orders concerning medical protocol. I am not a medic or lawyer, this still is unwarranted abuse of military personnel by the chain of command. I truely hope this turns out favorably for you and yours. All the best……
Good morning everybody!
Marion thanks for the lovely coffee and biscuits.
Scarecrow’s upstairs talking about Hillary!
