This committee. Or, it is possible that another member of the house would draft them, and they would then be referred to this committee for hearings, amendments, and possible action. From here, if/when approved, they would go to the full house for a vote.

But we don’t have to wait. For example, a whole pile of people have not waited to formulate Articles of Impeachment against Bush (see ImpeachPAC
and Priming the Pump!. That’s the whole idea behind looseheadprop’s suggestion to form a virtual think tank to formulate impeachment charges, thereby priming the pump!.

Estimates range from a mere 200 billion, to a plausible trillion, to as much as 7 trillion with interest as to how much has been stolen from tribal royalties.

Probably no one would break the law to prevent that information from coming out, tho, right?

What bothers me no end is that Bruce Babbitt had 8 years under Clinton to fix that mess, and didn’t. To make matters worse, it didn’t even really seem that he was trying all that hard.

Those must be under-counts. I’ve lived in AZ and NM, and now live in HI. How is “Native American” defined in those %? And what is the date on those numbers? Is it based on the old census rule that required only one race/ethnicity per person, or based on the current “check all that apply” rule?

Besides, in NM its practically impossible to distinguish between Hispanics and Indians (who have been living together there for more than 300 years).
