Matthews is a republican and hates Hillary geneticly. It’s too early for the republicans to start smearing Hillary on her weakest point as percieved by them as Bill and Hillary’s relationship, but it’s not too early for sympathetic newscasters like Matthews, FOX, and others to start nibbling at the juicy steak on the plate. The left is doing similar digs to Rudy on his previous marital relationships. It’s the knock the frontrunners down early game. I bet every influential republican goes to bed at night thinking Hillary is going to be the next president. We all know a little release helps one sleep better at night so imagine what they are going through trying to get that good night’s sleep.

I think all this talk of the Clintons will remind people of several important things: we liked Bill pretty well and we don’t like all the Republican bitching and name calling when it came to Hillary or Bill’s extra-marital relations. But, probably much more important is that they keep talking about Hillary and giving her free press. Well, times have changed and I just don’t see how a continuation of ‘politics as usual’ can be good for America. It would be turning a blind eye to the entire Bush presidency. We can’t afford that at all.

And, what of the idea of triangulating? Would Hillary insist on triangulating with Republicans…Republicans? When does the public get some representation in the White House?

No, times have changed and we are sick & tired of the names Bush & Clinton. Of course, that doesn’t mean they’ll let us have a new name; we just have to hope and work for it.

Gimme Gore, Edwards, Richardson or somebody else.

No, that was snark. I am an architect, not an attorney, so I see it from the designer’s p.o.v. who has to deal with stupid restrictions that limit creativity.

I’m wracking my brains on how to create a common space where laundry can be hung but we’re not seeing underwear all over the place. What makes this very safe for my kids is a walk that follows the outside perimeter of this small development, a common space that is shared for walking, jogging, biking, skating. The same walk keeps the kids off the street for activities, but it also means anybody’s back yard is open for view, along with the laundry.

The CC&R says no laundry hung outside, so I am currently hanging in the garage on racks. But it’s tough to do sheets, need open space. Almost wish I could pull off a Christo kind of thing, two rows of fabric run vertically in parallel at a 6 to 8 foot width with a clothesline strung between…but not going to happen. More likely to be able to install a wind-powered turbine and common electric dryers operated off the turbines.

It is truly amazing to me that matthews has any kind of audience.

Thanks for the link. That was a big missing piece in this Lebanon puzzle. I’m skeptical of this notion that it’s “blowback”. Hamas’s terrorism, for example, is often described as blowback from the Israelis’ original promotion of the group, but the Israelis still prefer them as an enemy to the old PLO. In the same way, what is going on in Beirut now seems in some way preparatory to a promised third Israeli invasion of Lebanon this summer. Maybe someone can illuminate me before events do.
