Jane I agree. I have brought Matthews addiction to bringing up whether Bill Clinton can behave up at FDL often. It does seem Matthews is always focused on this or to whether Hillary is “warm and fuzzy” I just wish he would focus on the issues when it comes to the Clintons. Matthews seems foolish when he does this

Although I will continue to repeat that Matthews is one of the only mainstreamers who is clearly pissed off that he was duped into the media’s dangerous “groupthink” in the run-up to the invasion. At the Libby trial I was able to speak with Matthews for a few minutes and I mentioned that he should have been listening to the Diane Rehm show before the invasion, instead of to his program and other mainstream outlets.

On the Rehm show he could have heard, Scott Ritter, Zbigniew Brezinski, CIA analyst, General Zinni and many more question the validity of the intelligence and warn against the wisdom of a pre-emptive invasion.

Matthews seems to have learned from the complacency of the media in the run-up to the invasion. For the last four years he hammers the “cakewalk in Iraq” zealots when they repeat unsubstantiated claims about Iran, and he is one of the only mainstreamers to do this.

Chris Matthews is trying to innoculate other multi-married candidates from having to answer that question. But Romney, himself begged that very question vis a vis the Wallace interview. What I find so ironic is that Matthews was a one note singer on the ” Clinton had sex with that woman” bandwagon. I think he got off when Clinton was impeached.

Sara @ 257, that answer would be worth a lot of votes. Bill (unexpectedly for me) did a great job shutting down Chris Wallace.

Oklahoma kiddo @ 54

Do you consider yourself an Oklahoman?

I have a dear friend, a very talented pianist and conductor, who grew up in Austin, Texas, and has since lived and worked all over the world. San Francisco, Germany, Boston, New York, New Orleans.

Soon after I met him, when he said he came from Austin, I asked him if he thought of himself as a Texan. He said, no, that he was a recovering Texan.

bmaz @ 222

BOB SCHACHT @ 195 - there is a writer by the name of Elizabeth de la Vega that has authored a book about indicting Bush (Cheney too I think). At any rate, the actual indictment she created might be helpful to you and is at this link.

http://www.tomdispatch.com/index.mhtml?pid=143205

Thanks for the link. I’d read some of this before. She bundles everything– Not only does she bundle everything into one count, but she aims it at not just one person, but the whole cast:

In addition to President Bush, the defendants are Vice President Richard B. Cheney, former National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice — who’s now the Secretary of State, of course — Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and former Secretary of State Colin Powell.

That’s a bit unwieldy, but the way things are going, the Bush clusterfuck is all interconnected anyway. Only now, I think its more important to isolate on Bush, Cheney and Gonzo.
Maybe I’ll set up a special page in the workspace for her approach.

Thanks,

Go, Jane! Tweety has been infuriating for the most part for 10 years. At least he thought the war was stupid.

But boy is that dude one effed-up guy when it comes to sex.

I still say he’s pissed at the Clinton’s for getting away with something he’d love to get away with himself. There’s no other rational excuse.

The guy really hates the Clinton’s, even though they had a lot to do with making him rich.

for those of you who are interested, there is a draft list of questions that has already been sent to the House Judiciary Committee at my place TiredFed
Any new questions can be left here, at Marcy’s TNH (TNH Monica Thread) or at my place. gracias

Thanks buddy, I’m so inspired by you, Marcy and the rest that I’m asking my acquaintances if they know Preet Bahara (Chuck Schumer’s ass’t) and get these lists to him. Keep it up.

How should Hillary answer the Question???

If she does it right, it could be a “slam dunk.”

She should say first off, that she has only been married once, and that her husband is a loveable handful. First off, he is Arkansas Country — and he grew up when the American Idol was Elvis, and he wanted to be like Elvis, but for some reason he didn’t make it as a Saxphonist. So then he went to the Jesuits at Georgetown, and they left their imprint. Finally, he went to Oxford as a bearded Rhodes Scholar — and somehow before he showed up at Yale and she met him — he managed to bring all those pieces together in a really loveable and crazy mix. So she just followed her heart and moved to Arkansas and tried to make it all work out as a lifetime rich romance.

Sex Life — well that’s inside my Zone of Privacy, and no adult American should have to share that. PERIOD!!!

Then she should say something expansive about how people calculate morality — maybe it is as much about whether you try to get health care for uninsured children, or attend to the environment or provide safe neighborhoods?

I hope she answers something like this — and that someone asks the question.
