Hi PW! Calling from Minnetonka! I am furioso at Pawlenty - have been since he sqeaked through being elected without a majority - and we Minnesotans put all Dems in the legislature! His money came from out of state - we the people put Dems in MN by working in the campaigns, giving our little bits we had - and we won! Now this bastard is acting like Bush - a king anointed.

Thanks for all you do! How can we change things here in MN this weekend? He has his poison pen out to veto schools, highways and roads. etc.

Skeptic @182: when I think of all of the soldiers and civilians, all of the innocent lives that are being lost every day due to our invasion and occupation of Iraq, it makes me very sad. Sometimes it motivates me to do more, but often it just depresses the hell out of me. How can our leaders be so callous and uncaring to let these people be slaughtered for no good reason, when there is no clear objective defined? It’s really heavy on the heart.

When it makes me down, I just think of how the people who volunteered to be in our armed services did it so that I have the freedom to speak my mind, the freedom to tell my elected representatives what I believe is right and important. If I just sit back and feel sad, I’m not honoring their service properly.
