And meeting Gladys Knight - OMG, I am SOOOO jealous!!</p> <p>I’ve been able to get my 15 yr old and his friends to listen to SOME of my “oldies music” (which to them means anything, especially metal, from the 70’s or 80’s) </p> <p>I can NOT, however, get them interested in anything Motown. They absolutely CRINGE when Gladys or Aretha or Marvin come on, because they know there is only ONE WAY I can listen to those tunes - with the sound cranked up and singing at the top of my lungs!</p> <p>(And for full embarrassment impact, if I’m stopped at a redlight, I do the choreography - “leavin on a midnight train - WHOO WHOO!”)</p> <p>Hope all the moms out there had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I’ve been able to get my 15 yr old and his friends to listen to SOME of my “oldies music” (which to them means anything, especially metal, from the 70’s or 80’s)

I can NOT, however, get them interested in anything Motown. They absolutely CRINGE when Gladys or Aretha or Marvin come on, because they know there is only ONE WAY I can listen to those tunes – with the sound cranked up and singing at the top of my lungs!
