What America wants is what it has always wanted in fact it’s the glue that has held us together thru thick and thin. What is it, JUSTICE. We live for it, every day it guides our actions and it also by the way is why we won WWII, why we killed each other in our civil war not to mention the war that started it all the Revolutionary war. It’s also why we didn’t do so well in other wars such as Korean Vietnam and now Iraq. Do we want to sweep this mountain of dirt under the rug, I think not we want justice.

Oklahoma kiddo @ 121

Central Texas. I’m hoping the storms weaken before it all gets here. Some counties are under tornado warnings. I worry about my animals mostly.

We’re getting banged again now, here in Oklahoma, and for the rest of the night, I suppose it’ll be the same. Looking out my back door toward Texas thirty miles south it doesn’t look good down there either. Pecos Bill says it’s the season. I have close family from Dallas, to Sulphur Springs, to Greenville, to Houston. I do not approve of tornados. ;0)

LOL. here’s hoping those unapproved tornados stay away from all us humans.

If the Iraqi Parliament does take a two month recess, put a fork in it. It’s over

They’re going to Crawford and pitiching tents. Bush’ll be there on vacation at the same time and he promised them some real Texas eats if they help him bring in this year’s brush crop. It’s a big one!

RICH GALEN, REPUBLICAN STRATEGIST: As the only one of the three of us who has actually been there in the summertime, let me tell you, you will do anything to get the hell out of there for two months.

But the — there’s a bigger issue here, that, when they were negotiating the TAL, transitional administrative law, one of the guys came out and told me that they don’t do this. They do a lot of negotiating in the Arab world, but, at the end of it, either you have the goat or I have the goat.

What they’re learning how to do — and I wish it were going faster — is, they’re learning how to split the goat. You get half of it. I get half.

They’re not good at that.

BLITZER: But the clock is ticking. And they don’t have a lot of time.

(CROSSTALK)

BLITZER: And I believe that parliament is air-conditioned. So, they don’t have to necessarily be working outside.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRA.....om.01.html

Sorry Rich, that ain’t gonna fly

The first time Cindy Sheehan and everyone came to Crawford, I went down there. Don’t know exactly what I was thinking (brain must have already been fried), but I even volunteered to help cook. What a crew in the camp kitchen. A million degrees over those stoves under those tarps and not one temper left its tether. The whole energy of the gathering was soooo sweet, starting with Cindy Sheehan personally greeting every one who got off every bus.

Wouldn’t it be funny if tomorrow’s hearing with Gonzo were like this: Your last appearance before Congress was your opportunity to come straight with us on the facts. Today is like a whole new ballgame. Three strikes and you’re out. That is, 3 I-can’t-recall, I don’t remember, no recollection or variations of those would be called out on strikes.
However, I’d give him one more chance after the second strike and call it a foul tip. Last chance at bat before we take remedial action.

(Probably would never happen that way though. A girl can dream!)

a good dream

Bob in HI, I went to your blog, but didn’t see a way to leave a comment.

At the end of each lead article there is the word “Comments (n)” where the “n” tells you how many comments there are. Just click on the word “Comments” and you should be taken to a new page with any comments there might be as well as a space to write in your own comment. Stop by again and see. Let me know if it won’t work for you.

Its a WordPress blog like this one, but we’re using a different set of options.
