When I took The Bible as Literature in college, it was a ferociously in-depth and propaganda-free course. I remember in about the second week of class, when we were studying the Hebrew Torah, Nevi’im, and Ketuvim, this poor little Jesus-loving Sorority Girl was, like, “Gawd, y’all! Wheyun are we gon’ start studying the BAH-ble?”

“This is the Bible,” said the professor, “Just not the parts they told you that you could read. There’s a lot more Bible than you get in the King James.”

I hope these school courses will be similar.

The kids who took the Bible as Literature class at my college all swore the teacher was an atheist; I can’t remember if the teacher announced this or they just thought so because all the good little Fundies had to work their tails off to pass it. I got a look at one of the tests and it was not one that you could BS your way through.

So, unless and until you decide to get your facts straight, I suggest your keep your mouth shut lest you continue to prove yourself to be an idiot.

You guys have little idea of how a military base works, do you?

The guards will have guns, and there’ll be somebody they can call to mobilize and stop the terrorists…but not before they could kill a significant number of people. Its not like soldiers walk around base with weapons and ammo issued at the ready. Most of the weapons are safely locked up in heavily secured arms rooms, and ammo is kept in a completely separate area.

So by the time the guards at the gate know what’s what, and back up has been called, six armed men could do a decent amount of damage. It still amounts to pretty much a suicide mission, but then that’s not so unusual for these idiots, is it?

Thanks for setting that straight! We should not have assumed that a defense installation is prepared to defend. Weapons & ammo need to be secured, just as our fighter-interceptors were on 9/11. Who knows what could happen if they weren’t.
