IRT Tucker Carlson. He is so bad that it’s the one show I can’t watch on MSNBC. However, he did tell that story about Bush (when he was governor) refusing to hear the requests for the pardon of that woman on death row.
It was an awful story and made Bush look really cruel. I was surprised when he told it.

Of course, that was all some devious strategum to make us believe that that woman really existed. I bet if you check it out you’ll find that no such women is actually in the Texas Prison System TODAY!

Look up Carla Fay Tucker. Little more research and you’ll find that Bush mocked her pleas to spare her life. It’s all a matter of public record if you bother to look it up.

Regarding Ray McGovern, I strongly disagree. He’s been writing very honestly and passionately about the Bush administration’s crimes for years in relative obscurity (Counterpunch.org, TomPaine and CommonDreams.org have been printing his stuff all along) specifically re: how the CIA shirked their responsibility to truth above all else and played the political games around Iraq and more recently Iran. He was one of the first to point directly to the Nuremburg trials regarding a ‘war of aggression’ being the supreme international crime. McGovern also stood up publicly and called Rummy out for his lies (I’ll try to find a link).

I don’t disagree. But it is possible that he’s been fed crappy information or forged documents.
Even if they’re fake versions of the real thing, as in the 60 Minutes Texas ANG “scandal”.

Huh? You mean that you really BELIEVE that NIGER OFFICIALS had a real deal with the IRAQI’s…and the fakes are of REAL documents??? With Niger officials from the 1989 Niger Supreme Court, one of who is listed as an Iraqi?

Or are they “fakes” of “fakes”?

I think that they brought him on thinking that he would criticize Tenet. They are desperate for anyone that was “inside” to do that…and in particular, to get the “left” to attack him as well as the right. That would undercut Tenet’s attack on Buscheney.

They didn’t think that the would be hit with a tangential attack on Cheney instead. They got “punked”.
