Love the PUK graffiti on the walls.

Turkey is quietly partially mobilizing in the east to quell any insurrection or invasion if Kurdistan should be granted true autonomy.

This has been another chapter of Easily Forseeable Unforeseen Consequences.

just reverse the names to see how stupid that sounds…

the USA aid will bypass the israeli elected government until it recognizes the palestinian right to a state, renounces violence and abides by interm peace deals.

Ah, yes. US aid to Israel. I figure we have to send them money so they can use it to bribe our, excuse me, make large campaign contributions to US politicians via a PAC.

And buy into our corporate media.

That should update your static evaluation of Iraqis.

Hi TJ’s blog,

How ’bout you just come out and spill the beans on what you mean?

Don’t forget — Petraeus was the only general Bush could find who would back the surge.

And now he’s saying “war without end.”

Pelosi and Reid should send the same damn bill back after the veto, and the second veto, and the third, until W’s head explodes.

The Dems should use this talking point “war without end” over and over and over again with the entrenched true believers. The Prez is addicted to war, troops, and money and needs to be cut off cold turkey.
“Rep. Senators, are you going to vote for war without end, again?”

O.T. but interesting insight by two upcoming young captains of cyberspace. They have set up two sites with the express purpose of tracing political donations that match to legislation purposed and passsed or pending. This allows constituents to see who is doing what for whom. These sites are: Opensecrets.org and Maplight.org . Both are non partisan. I applaud them their efforts. Snarkassandra might be impressed with the two young PUPS.

Peterr @ 151

I didn’t realize this was “Talk Like an Ancient Roman Senator” Day.

Ave, Hugh!

Maybe we could have a “Talk Like An Ancient Roman Pirate Day”!
HotFlash @ 153

cinnamonape and ghostman, if your scenario is true, and why not, apparently US skinheads are enlisting for the training, won’t walled ghettos be useful to them.

Well if you think that the goal of these skinheads is to get blown up at crowded gates, then yep…that’d be quite useful.

But I really don’t think these walls are going to work in the slightest. If we can’t keep infiltrators out of the Iraqi military, then how are we going to prevent individuals from moving between areas. And explosives can be found WITHIN those areas, and can be shuttled across by tunnels the size of a small sewage pipe. I can’t see hoe the US will block off all the labyrinths of water and sewage plumbing, electrical conduits, and myriad other ways of getting small packages across.

This is Baghdad! Not some airport terminal.
