Thanks for that. It would be healing in a special way, in that I was supposed to attend a surgical conference in Portugal in mid-September 2001 in order to set up training opportunities for several surgeons in the former Soviet Union. We could have saved a lot of lives but no.

Why is it any different for women’s rights? This idea that women “create temptation” is like saying that merchants put their wares right out where people could steal them, therefore thieves are blameless.

If you are an adult, and not a rutting stray dog or cat, you can control what is in your underpants, even if a woman walks by you in a string bikini holding a sign that says “I’m easy”. This nonsense about the neck and hair is just primitive BS. If the only way you can prevent yourself from seeing women as ONLY sexual objects, to be owned and/or raped, is to have them cover themselves so you don’t see their ripe, irrestistable flesh, then you’re a sick bastard who needs to be locked up in a room with cushiony walls.

Extremist fundies who declare women must cover even their faces due to “temptation” are openly displaying their own pathetic weakness. Oppression in many forms of women here & elsewhere by men just exposes them as scared little wienies.
