Feith’s “I don’t recall” brings to mind a comment made by a retired C.I.A. Case Officer who said, in regards to basically the same comment made by Condolezza Rice, “she’s either lying, or suffering from the early stages of Alzheimer’s”. Seems like the whole bushocracy is suffering from the same thing.

Gads. Why isn’t Toensing in jail for perjury or at least a mental institution for trying to frame everything as if it happens in her own little window of perception as it pertains to some congressional bill she participating in the writing of.

Wedgwood (she of the LATimes op-ed) is an old Wolfowitz pal, going back to SAIS at Hopkins. She was also appointed to the Defense Policy Board by Rumsfeld. She’s an interested party.

The other press seems less sympathetic, and it ranges from the NYTimes to the Washington Times (a wide range).

Does the press have this one wrong?

The New Yorker has a good article on what Paul is doing wrong, but they are uncertain about this scandal, as well.

I do remember Paul denying he had anything to do with her promotion, and that has since been found to be false, I think he even apologized for it? (But if he was order to do it?)

The Plameologists here should take note. The administration and its allies attacked Valerie Plame by accusing her of nepotism and setting up a junket for her husband. It never made sense to any of us in the reality based world that one would consider a trip to Niger a junket. Who would think that?
Well, a neocon or a wingnut would, because they have serious problems with projection. In other words, they would send their lover on a junket to the third world.
