When I heard Victoria Wulsin interviewed I thought to myself how smart and normal she sounded and that she couldn’t lose when you’d compare her to Schmidt.

I think it’s terriffic Dr. Wulsin is going after the goofy Schmidt again, but, If the DLC and Emanual decide to challenge in the primary she could be hurt by their money. Look what they did to Tammy Duckworth.

OT - the Planning and Conservation League had their annual legislative/environmental symposium on Saturday. Jerry McNerney was the lunchtime presenter, and gave good props to the netroots. He showed a firm grasp of the issues and was inspiring as a speaker. The topic was “How To Win The Environmental Battles That Test This Generation.”

PCL is California’s only statewide environmental coalition.

Pulitzer Journalism Award - Link

I wonder what the eligibility criteria are, and why bloggers are excluded? E.g., why can’t an emptywheel be nominated for “investigative reporting”??

The Pulitzers demand that the article be in print — i.e., in a real paper newspapers and/or magazines.

JF @ 93, Cynthia Tucker used to be on a panel, I believe on PBS, I watched and she was the real deal. Since I watch little television these days, I miss hearing what she has to say loud and clear. Congratulations to Cynthia, wherever she is.
