I posted the contents of the Kyle Sampson doc on the Litmus Test blog earlier today. Nobody seemed to notice. I also provided info on the replacements recommended by Sampson. No one at the time seemed to notice that either. It seems to me that most here tend to just flit en masse from one blog to the next, never pausing long enough at any particular place to survey the scene with more than a cursory glance, happy just to espy someone they know before moving on. It’s a strange place.

LOL!
But too many syllables per line.
Burma Shave lines averaged about 4 syllables, I think. And only 4 lines. Here’s the Burma Shave version:

Jacqrat @ 102

OT: SHOCKED.

Yes, I am Shocked, SHOCKED I say…

Study: Abstinence programs no guarantee

WASHINGTON (AP) — Students who took part in sexual abstinence programs were just as likely to have sex as those who did not, according to a study ordered by Congress.

Also, those who attended one of the four abstinence classes that were reviewed reported having similar numbers of sexual partners as those who did not attend the classes. And they first had sex at about the same age as other students — 14.9 years, according to Mathematica Policy Research Inc.

The federal government now spends about $176 million annually on abstinence-until-marriage education. Critics have repeatedly said they don’t believe the programs are working, and the study will give them reinforcement.

If you’re only shocked, you’re better off than they are. They’re screwed and probably with consequences (preg, STD, AIDS) since carrying a condom would be a violation of “the abstinance pledge”.

Sexual behavior is mediated by neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters don’t read. Neurotransmitters don’t listen. Neurotransmitters only want one thing.

Dr. Freud, line one!

“Yes, it became quite clear that under Gonzales, the department placed no more than secondary value on the standards that I and my office had valued so heavily for the preceding 25 years — accuracy, integrity, responsibility, and quality of decision-making being chief among them. Had I stayed as director of OIP, I might have been working for a Monica Goodling protg by now.”
