The List Keeper testifies before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
for the week ending 3/31/07:
Dr. Egon Spengler: Vinz, you said before you were waiting for a sign. What sign are you waiting for?
Louis: Gozer the Traveler. He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!
Behold! I am Ky-yul, the Keeper of the Lists, Aggregator of the Information! Bow down before my Lower Right Hand Drawer Drop File and despair! I can create your career as a United States Attorney and I can destroy it with a mere stroke of my pen! All-powerful is my resemblance to my master, the Traveler (you know him in his earthly pre-chosen form, "Rove")! Mighty is my power to aggregate information from various principals and higher-ups!
You ask me if my lists are extant? Hah! Foolish mortals. I am the Keeper of the Lists, Aggregator of the Information! I am not so puny and weak-minded that I keep lists in their corporeal form! Merely by melding telepathically with my Lower Right Hand Drawer Drop File, I can tell you . . if I so choose . . . who is on the list and who is not! My filing skills are so much more advanced than the one you call "Schumer" or the one called "Leahy" or even the one called "Feinstein" could ever hope to acquire! You are insolent Democrat humans, you who cannot comprehend my mighty aggregation abilities!
Am I a god? No, I am more than a god — I am a shining exemplar of Republican cronyism, disciple of Hatch and the Traveler, the one known to you also as "Turdblossom"! Males of your species quail in fear at my ferocious list-keeping skills; females worship my seductively cunning ability to speak around questions from impertinent former prosecutors! Lo, the one you call "Whitehouse" will rue the day he dared to try to outsmart me, to shame me, to humble me, as if my trial experience were even remotedly related to my ability to ordain who possesses the qualifications for a United States Attorney! The Traveler will destroy him, just as he did the one named "Kerry"! And then you shall all know the pain of your political inferiority!!!

this thing on?
Based on the evidence, I don’t believe in their minds at all.
wow, must be a nice day out.
ROTFLMAO!
Priceless, and you even managed to sneak the ubiquitous quail in later!
from tpmmuckraker:
http://www.tpmmuckraker.com/archives/002933.php
Long article is in LATimes.
Bottom line:
FIVE WITNESSES, AND LOTS OF QUESTIONS:
Here are the top 5 people I want to see under oath, and questions I want answered. Anyone have any other favorites they would like to share?
CIA Director Hayden: What was the result of the CIA damage assessment regarding the treasonous outing of Plame?
Specifically: Were any US or foreign agents or contacts killed? What was the dollar cost of doing a damage assessment? What was the dollar cost of the setback in time and manpower in replacing the Plame function? Has the capability to track WMDs post-Plame been restored at least to its levels pre-Plame outing?
Goodling: By whom were you directed to check on US attorney “Bushie loyalty”? What was Rove’s direct or indirect involvement? Was making Rove happy part of the DOJ mission as you understood it? Did you personally research whether any of these activities were illegal? Were you informed by anyone else that your Bush loyalty activities were legal?
Scott Jennings: Describe all uses that the Bush administration is making of federal government resources to maintain political power, in addition to suborning the DOJ and abuse of GSA spending power. Describe how the plans were made (including who helped make them) for the DOJ firings and the GSA politicization program. Describe how you, Rove and others involved in these efforts stayed in contact. Described where all documents (including electronic files) relating to these activities can be found. Before they were indicted, how were DeLay and Abramoff involved in these activities?
Brent Tolman: Describe the development of the language inserted into the Patriot Act. Describe efforts you and others made to ensure it was undetected. Who directed you to insert the language into the Act? Were you also directed not to inform the Senate specifically as to the presence of such language, and if so by whom?
Scooter Libby’s memory expert: Please describe how Kyle Sampson’s memory can be clear on certain matters pertaining to making AG Gonzales the fall guy for the US attorney firings, and yet vague on so much else. Has “Rovenesia” (the inability to remember facts that might implicate Karl Rove directly in untoward activity) become a clinically defined category of memory loss, or will that be an outcome of these hearings?
Bush equals the Decider
Cheney equals the Shooter
Libby equals the Scooter
Sampson equals the Aggregator
is there a web page that keeps us up on their newest nicknames as they aggregate in the blogosphere?
albert fall @7
Great List. Send it off to the relevant congressional committee heads & members.
That is soooo true. From what we’ve heard, the Turd is out in front of his own un-doing. Not to mention the list of BushChen maladroits. Hugh’s list had 104 last I saw! And what items aren’t Rove’s in the main?
Ed*ard Teller @ 8
And Waxman equals the Sheriff
When is the sheriff going to get the shooter?
Or Waxman is Cpt. America
Let’s hope Henry does not suffer the Cpt’s fate. I worry about him sometimes.
eCAHN, I left you a reply downstairs re NOLA donations. No meaningful info yet, however, but I’ll keep trying.
I sure with THIS was an April Fool’s Day joke:
WASHINGTON, March 30 — The office in charge of protecting American technical secrets about nuclear weapons from foreign spies is missing 20 desktop computers, at least 14 of which have been used for classified information, the Energy Department inspector general reported on Friday.
This is the 13th time in a little over four years that an audit has found that the department, whose national laboratories and factories do most of the work in designing and building nuclear warheads, has lost control over computers used in working on the bombs.
now how am I supose to get my work (quizzes for me) done with all these links to check out?
:)
thanks so much!
Ed*ard Teller @ 13
Well, that’s certainly in keeping with this administration’s attitude about rogue nuke info.

If you are looking for something interesting in the way of “kept USAttorneys” you might look into Johnny Sutton=West District of Texas. Not only did his shop refuse to take a case with Texas Ranger evidence of Sexual Abuse in the Texas Youth Commission two years ago, he’s the USAttorney that Lou Dobb’s has been railing about for prosecuting the two Border Patrol agents after immunizing a Mexican thug. The Texas Observer

Molly Ivin’s beloved home, broke the story on TYC.
The Texas Lege, as useless an aggregation of smarm as ever assembled, is shocked, shocked that such goings on were going on. Much scrambling around, resignations, firings, moral declarations, and other festivities have been commenced, and the Google or Lexis/Nexis will dump more than you ever wanted to read about it in most Texas papers.
The odd thing is, ol’ Sutton’s outfit is not being pointed to by anyone but the Ranger. Given a choice between a Ranger and one of Gonzo’s best buddies, I’ll take the Ranger.

Nothing can touch Stephen Colbert’s truth telling at last years dinner. He told the truth about the war, the press and the Bush administration. It was a sight to behold. The press looked terribly uncomfortable because Colbert pulled their “groupthink” underwear down for all the world to see.
Blech…. Newt on Cspan Speaking to he National Federation of Republican Women. Going to talk about Nancy Pelosi and her trip to the middle east.
I think Colbert’s routine pretty much rendered the Dinner inconsequential.

Israel wants an attack on Iran before the A*I*P*A*C trial in early June (if it is not dismissed, delayed for the 5th time or the right wing radicals take out Prosecutor Mc Nulty during this AG scandal). When American citizens realize once again that Israeli firsters here in the U.S. have never stopped passing off classified intelligence to the Israeli government and Israeli officials. Sad, that.

Don’t know who spoke at last year’s Radio/TV correspondents dinner but it was not Colbert. He spoke at White House Correspondents Dinner (aka White House Organization of Reporters and Editors) (this year is Rich Little). Two different orgs, although admittedly, not much difference between them.
Sorry to be so anal but it kind of comes with my career field.
Noooooooo! It’s from “Ghost Busters”. The quote and everything!

watertiger @ 35
Colbert is a genius. That night was the beginning of the unraveling of W. He was the first to call him on his shit in public. I will never forget it and I didn’t watch this year either just clips on C&L.
So on the plus side for the Democrats in regards to the USA scandal. For any Democrat who gets charged in the next few years. They’ll be able to make a lot of legal hay out the motivations for their prosecutions by the loyal Bushies.

for anyone who did watch the WH Correspondent’s Dinner this year – did Rich Little actually host it? The clip I saw with the rapping MC Rove (gawd!) had Brad Sherwood and Colin Mochrie, probably best known in the US as cast members on “Whose Line is it Anyway”. (For the record, Colin Mochrie is a better rapper than Rove. snort!)
I wouldn’t think Monica Goodie has earned much leave. Maybe someone is checking on her time reports to at least keep her honest on that score.

The 2007 dinner will take place on April 21. The entertainer this year is scheduled to be celebrity impersonator Rich Little.
dakine01 @ 58
AHA! Thanks, Dakine, I thought I was going mad earlier last week when everyone was going on about the star turn by Rove. I could’ve sworn that Colbert hadn’t shown up until LAST April.
Thanks watertiger. I’m glad you mentioned “Aggregator of the Information.” That’s what most companies use an “intranet” for. Instead of automating a bulletin board electronically, the WH decided to pay Kyle a salary in the AG’s office to be a human bulletin board. Per Kyle’s own testimony, he added nothing to the process. I understand that Kyle finds it convenient to testify to that now, but why would you pay a salary to an aggregator? I checked the want ads and I cannot find anyone seeking “aggregators?“
Meebee George will strike Iran over Easter so’s ta bring on Armageddon? Meebe Jesus is paying more attention to us sinners down here over Easter? It’s also Passover, so meebe God will pay more attention to the Jews, and will outvote Jesus, and NOT strike Iran? I’m so confused…

I’ll bet that Lula thinks that georgie is a real looney with “golf cart one” emblazoned on a *golf cart*.
Methinks that he and Hugo will have a good belly laugh over this.

H: “Does it run on gasoline?”
L: “It is electric.”
H: “Ah. So it is coal- powered?”
Both: “bahahahahaha! It is nice that we have a good friendship with one another.”
Check out this article over at JTA (Jewish Telegraphic Agency). I really believe part of the agenda for the Kristol and the rest of the right wing radicals is to cloud Prosecutor Paul McNulty’s investigation of A*I*P*A*C/Rosen and the upcoming trial in June (that is if it is not postponed once again, or dismissed if the Israeli lobby creates a cloud over this investigation/trial).
Go read this article
McNulty, what were you thinking?
By Ron Kampeas
Finally, you’re thinking, a scandal without Jews: the saga of the fired attorneys has Hispanics, Asians, Scotch-Irish, but nary a Jew among them. Not on the wrong end of the scandal, like Lewis Libby; nor caught in its maw, like journalists Judith Miller, Matt Cooper and Walter Pincus.
I’m afraid the U.S. Attorney scandal circles back to the Rosen-Weissman-A*P*C trial. And unlike so much else in this town, the connection isn’t even hard to track.

In the old days, how I miss them, Sampson would have been called a file clerk. He wouldn’t have lasted long because once he did that aggregating, his job would have been to file the stuff. Even Fawn Hall kept files long enough to shred them. Fawn was a competent aggregator and worthy of the name.

Sorry, they’re his caps. But the point about suitability, and the violation of no asset-based lending standards that are implicit in the story, is serious. The damage to homeowners and other bagholders that is just beginning to be seen was entirely predictable, even down to a pretty good time frame. And, with the possible exception of the AR market from which I haven’t noticed a lot of news lately, all of those regions where the eight were assigned both may have the most damage, and the highest location of implicated firms.

“Obama caves to Bush
by kos
Sun Apr 01, 2007 at 10:57:18 AM PDT
I wish this was an April Fools Day joke:
If President Bush vetoes an Iraq war spending bill as promised, Congress quickly will provide the money without the withdrawal timeline the White House objects to because no lawmaker “wants to play chicken with our troops,” Sen. Barack Obama said Sunday.
What a ridiculous thing to say. Not only is it bad policy, not only is it bad politics, it’s also a terrible negotiating approach.
Instead of threatening Bush with even more restrictions and daring him to veto funding for the troops out of pique, Barack just surrendered to him.
Let me repeat that — Obama just surrendered to Bush.”

I bet they were made by child laborers who can’t leave home to go to school because of a) curfews, b) the risk of bombs in the schools or on the streets, c) and the fact that thewir teachers are being kidnapped and shot.
So the kids are simply sitting indoors all day and making rugs on looms…for Republican Congressmen to buy at horrificly low cost!
Oh, my! The best snark evar!!!

yep.
it happens in Afghanistan, too.
For these warmongers to tread their Manolo Blahniks and Allen Edmonds clad hooves on the blood, sweat and tears of the oppressed and desperate so that they can decorate their homes is beyond criminal.
Watertiger – if you check the comments still – it is an absolutely gorgeous, warm (80’s) sunny day in South Texas. It’s after 5 pm here, and I’m just looking into FDL for the 1st time today – very late for me! LOL.
But I’m going back up to check out your links. They’re always worth the effort. Thanks!
Oh, and cinnamonape at 115 – please tell me that’s and April Fool’s joke!

(imagine us going out like that, killed by a 60 foot marshmellow man)
(hey, we’re looking at this all wrong. This Mr Stapuft isn’t a bad guy. He’s a Sailor. He’s in town for a few days. If we can get this guy laid, everything is gonna be okay)

If the snark line is still open, it seems to me that Rove is The Borg, and those whose names wind up in the Aggregator’s lower right hand drawer are those who were not properly Assimilated and are still capable of Independent Thought (

James Wolcott has a thought about Ann Althouse.
I had a thought about that, too. The thought was, in the words of my cousin, “Get over yourself!”
