I move that we call all Republicans from here on out Bushies. The Bushican Party it will be instead of the Republican Party. This will drive them bonkers, if they aren’t there already.

Whoa! Let’s think about this for a minute. If we separate out current rethugs by referring to them as “Bushies” (much as I love the idea) do we not then confer some legitimacy on the rest of them? You can’t tar some future rethug candidate who has no record of supporting Bush with the label of “Bushie”. But if you stick to (holding nose) “Republican”, you snare the entire bunch in your net.

While I think “Bushie” is a grand term for someone like McCain (and even Lieberman) I’m afraid it won’t work well for us if we do this across the board.

Has anyone yet investigated the relationship of the US attorney scandal to the actual election fraud committed by the Bushies and their touch-screen minions in Ohio, Florida, Georgia etc? Evidence abounds of “irregularites” favoring the repubs which was never investigated.

The Holt Bill attempts to ameliorate the problems of electronic voting by providing a paper trail, but the bill is years out of date and experts now agree that all touch screen and electronic voting must be eliminated in favor of paper ballots. Paper ballots and and two sets of electronic ballot scanners is the compromise postion.

There is a strong case that the Democratic victories in 2006 would have been much bigger were it not for ballot manipulation.

I think the Rovian vision of voter fraud was successful in 2000 and 2004. But now we know the game plan. Paper ballots should return until the electronic machines are credible, if ever.Anybody with the power given to these sleasy operatives can rig an election. The disenfranchised votes probably would have swung both past elections to the Democrats. I’m glad there’s a new sheriff in town to shine light on this.
