I watched and Tivo’d this on Sunday night. Planned to only catch a few minutes at first and then watch later, but was so mesmerized by the stunning imagery that I was hooked.

This series has already been universally acclaimed — agree with Christy: it is a truly awe-inspiring thing of beauty to watch. Only a heart of stone could not be moved by the majesty of nature and life itself.

Harry Reid’s on the senate floor praising Tony Snow for doing an amazing job as WH Press Secretary

As far as I’m concerned, Harry can sing the praises for Tony Snow ’til he’s blue in the face, as long as he *votes* against and works against all the fuckups Tony’s boss has engineered the past 6 years.

And on that count, so far I think he’s doing fine.

Christy, here is a link to a clip from the Bower Bird (Attenborough) episode. This is just one of the many types of Bower Birds he covers, but most definitely, the most fascinating to watch.

That was terrific. What was surprising was the engineering with supports..bird brain indeed.
Send some of these birds to NOLA beautiful flowers and and all.

Christine, fly up to Montreal, bring the peanut, take the subway to Parc Olympique, you could visit the Insectarium, with french and english visits. Then you have the Biodome, situated in the ex-Velodrome, four different ecosystem. I was forgetting the botanical gardens, who are having for the next month their annual butterfly fest, it’s such a treat…

Pat_AlexVA @ 163

Even ribs will have a small GPS that will record track. Being millitary speck rib, would be even more likely. The maps provided are of very limited use wrt scale and detail. A radar tracking would provide verifiable facts of position but is not provided. There are two sides being proclaimed, keep open the outcome until the facts are known is all I can suggest. Don’t declare war on what you have here. All the best…….

I’m also taping the Planet Earth series, to watch it without the commercials later. I’ll also wait until I’m more alert to watch it. Right now, I can barely concentrate enough to comprehend MadTV reruns. Dunno how I got through work this morning (I did screw up once - thank goodness my colleagues were able to cover it well). I’m gonna continue to rest in my jammies & cuddle with the cats until I have to go to work tonight.
