Yes, use the Form 1040 EZ-T (available from irs.gov) if you otherwise wouldn’t file. You get $30 for one person on the return, $40 for two, up to $60 for a family of four or more

What if the Dems offered premiums ranging from fluorescent bulbs to solar panels to hybrid cars for donations to the party or to individual candidates.

Win-win-win. Those donating get something which saves them money. The Dems may get a bigger pool of donors since people who haven’t got much money to spare will feel they are getting something back. And the energy savings WITHDRAW profits from the oil giants who are behind the Republicans.

I wondered if Pelosi got the same sort of threat.

Which brings me to a question. Is Britain deliberately toying with Iran because 1) Tony Blair is leaving office and he wants to make one more big play before he goes? 2) They are simply trying to create cover for the current shitstorm that Bush is in? What’s the real deal here? Anyone got any good guesses?

Well, it does seem logical that folks in the Bush administration would understand that the investigatorial and prosecutorial functions might be used by people in one political party to go after those in another political party for purely partisan reasons.
